Hurricane Milton wreaked havoc in Florida, devastating several areas after making landfall near Siesta Key, Florida, on Wednesday night as a Category 3 storm. It was later downgraded to a Category 1 storm.
Several videos of the massive storm are on social media, showing the strength of Milton and the accompanying devastation. One such video is of Tropicana Field, the Tampa Bay Rays’ MLB stadium.
The strong winds ripped off the roof of the stadium which was meant to be a shelter for thousands of evacuees and emergency workers.
Videos on social media show the roof shredded into pieces with the stadium arena presenting a scarily eerie picture as the storm lashes it.
Hurricane Milton brought with it dangerous flooding and a life-threatening storm surge. More than three million households and businesses are without power across Florida Thursday morning. The worst-hit communities are mostly in the Tampa Bay area where 97 per cent of customers are out of power.

Other videos also show trees falling down amid wind gusts of 100 mph. A flash flood emergency has been issued for Tampa and emergency services have been halted.
Recovery efforts started in some parts of Hillsborough County, Florida, Thursday where people have been asked to stay home. “Please stay home, as we have received reports of downed trees and flooded streets,” the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Milton also triggered at least 27 tornadoes, with several counties hit. CNN reported that a tornado tore through St. Lucie County in Florida, killing several people in a mobile home retirement community.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is confirming all reports. NWS offices in Tampa Bay, Melbourne and Miami had earlier issued warnings for more than 125 tornadoes.
The true scale of devastation will be revealed when the sun shines in all the regions on Thursday.
