'Reminds of skeleton': Akshata Murty's dress steals show at Rishi Sunak's farewell speech

When United Kingdom's Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak gave his resignation speech on a sombre day outside 10 Downing Street after disastrously losing the snap elections, his wife Akshata Murty stood behind holding an umbrella and wearing a dress that many found 'awful'.
Murty was wearing an Indian label dress which cost more than Rs 42,000 ($503.13). Interestingly, the dress contained all the colours of Britain’s national flag - which are blue, red and white stripes. Soon, the dress became viral as netizens found it very amusing.
The internet users said that the dress had arrows pointing down and the bottom section was red which appeared like a metaphor to indicate how the Conservative Party has slumped in the 2024 general election after losing to the Labour Party.

“Nice to see Mrs Sunak wearing an American flag-style dress,” wrote another. One user even called the dress a "skeleton".
Another X user wrote, “Akshata Murty’s dress is a stereogram and if you squint for long enough you can see an airplane leaving for California.”
“Sunak: ‘Yours is the only judgement that matters.’ He said that to his wife when she asked what dress she should wear this morning - and look what happened,” wrote another user.
One person said that it “is the stuff of a million memes”.
“Even Rishi Sunaks wife’s dress says you’re going down!” said X user.
The trolls went to their creative best when one of them said, “Akshata Murty's dress is also a QR code that gets you a Disneyland fast pass.”

Meanwhile, Keir Starmer's wife on D-day wore a dress which belonged to Britain’s favourite middle-class label and cost £275 ($352), to enter 10 Downing Street.
