In a dramatic event, Frontier Airlines flight 1326 started shooting out flames from the aircraft and made a “hard landing” at the Las Vegas airport on Saturday (Oct 5). The chilling incident was caught on camera and the video of the same went viral on social media platforms.
As per media reports, the flight's landing gear area was seen billowing smoke and flames when it landed at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to Frontier Airlines, the pilots smelled the smoke and declared an emergency immediately, however, it is not clear if they understood the severity of the fire.

Within seconds, smoke eaters reached the scene to douse the fire on the plane with streams of foam. Fire trucks and emergency service vehicles also moved towards the runway quickly.

The fire was eventually taken under control and did not cause further damage.
The airline stated that no injuries were reported among the passengers and crew. It stated that everyone aboard was safely evacuated from the plane through the airstairs to the gate.
X user Tyler Herrick, who is a videographer, captured the video of the plane and shared it on social media platforms.
Here's how the airlines reacted to the incident
Speaking to CBS News, a spokesperson for the airport, "Frontier flight 1326 experienced a hard landing. The Clark County Fire Department responded immediately and all passengers and crew have been safely transported to the gated area. No injuries were reported."

Meanwhile, Frontier Airlines' spokesperson speaking to CBS News said, "The pilots detected smoke and declared an emergency. The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew were evacuated via airstairs. No injuries were reported, and passengers have been bussed to the terminal. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation."
The flight had taken off from San Diego and landed at 3:37 pm local time, which is half an hour after the flight's scheduled arrival time.
