Just two days before the semi-final against Australia at DY Patil Stadium, Shafali Verma has been named as Pratika Rawal’s replacement in India’s squad for the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025.
Rawal, 25, suffered knee and ankle injuries during India’s final league match against Bangladesh, twisting her ankle while attempting to stop a boundary at deep mid-wicket. Scans confirmed that she will be unable to play for the remainder of the tournament.
