US: Pentagon gets $1.15 trillion boost
The US House of Representatives has narrowly approved its version of the Fiscal 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), authorising a record $1.15 trillion in military spending. The bill passed despite strong Democratic opposition over its cost, the Iran conflict, and provisions aimed at strengthening Pentagon ties with Israel.
