Sri Lanka inflation rate drops to lowest in a year as Colombo approves IMF package

The Department of Census and Statistics yesterday said that inflation in Colombo has dropped to 35.3 percent in April. Sri Lanka’s headline inflation, as measured by the Year-on-Year (Y-O-Y) change in the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), significantly eased to 35.3% in April 2023, in comparison to March 2023, the department said.
