Donald Trump has said the temporary US–Iran ceasefire is scheduled to expire on April 22, even as negotiations continue to prevent a renewed escalation in the conflict. Despite the truce holding for now, Trump confirmed that the US naval blockade on Iranian ports and shipping will remain in force until a broader agreement is reached with Iran.
