India: Monsoon arrives after a week-long delay
The long waited rains are fondly here in a bit of a relief for the farmers across India's Southern State of Kerala as Monsoon has reached its coast after more than a week's delay. According to the state-run Indian Meteorological Department, the formation of a serious cyclonic storm Biparjoy in the Arabian Sea was the reason behind the delay in the monsoons forming or the Indian peninsula.
