India: Ahmedabad in Gujarat recommended as host for 2030 Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games 2030 is set to be held in India. The Executive Board (EB) of the Commonwealth Sport – Games’ global governing body – confirmed on Wednesday that it has recommended Ahmedabad (Amdavad), Gujarat’s capital, to host the centenary edition of the CWG five years from now. This announcement precedes the formal host city declaration scheduled for Nov 26 during the Commonwealth Sport’s general assembly meeting in Glasgow.
