Nearly 20,000 seafarers remain stranded aboard vessels in and around the Strait of Hormuz as tensions continue to disrupt maritime movement across one of the world’s most critical shipping routes. The International Maritime Organization has urged urgent de-escalation and called for safe maritime corridors to evacuate crews and restore navigation.
