Giant cross divides US city

At 12 meters high, a cross-shaped statue honouring those who died in World War I veterans stands at the centre of controversy in the US state of Maryland. A group calling for its removal says it violates laws protecting the separation of church and state, but family members and veterans are putting up a fight that has taken the case to the Supreme Court, where it will be heard on February 27.
