Stokes has had injury issues since the start of the year. He was out of the second half of IPL 2023, where he represented MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK), after playing just two games and didn't bowl.

Arthur further opined, "Of course, it is the first time they're playing there, so it has taken a little bit to get used to the conditions."

He also opened up on Babar Azam-led Men in Green's ordinary run in the World Cup, where they have won three and lost four games.

"Every game we go into, we want to win. And I'll be brutally honest, I don't think we've played to our full potential this tournament yet. I thought the Bangladesh game is the first game where we actually put a complete game together. We batted beautifully, bowled beautifully, and fielded beautifully, which in all the other games, we've done one or two disciplines OK, but our other disciplines let us down," the South African mentioned.

"So, I'd like to say we're peaking, but the preparation of the guys and the attitude of the guys' will to get better every day, that has been exceptional. So, I can't fault anybody in terms of that. But we found our best game against Bangladesh and I just hope that's not too late for us," Arthur&nbsp;added.

The match was also his 100th as captain of the Men in Blue with him winning 74 of those, the most by any Indian captain during the period. Rohit is also the first Indian ever to win each of his first six matches as captain at the ODI World Cup.

The Indian skipper’s 87-run knock against England was his 12th fifty-plus score at the ODI World Cup, with only Sachin Tendulkar scoring more such scores with 21 in&nbsp;World Cup.

Malan further stated that players need to take more onus and give their all in the remaining three games -- with 2025 Champions Trophy qualification at stake. "I'm not involved in selection or any of those things, so I don't know how that works or who is in charge of all that, but as players, we need to take responsibility when we cross that rope," he opined.

English opener Dawid Malan opened up on England's struggles and feels one should not blame head coach Matthew Mott. "Motty is not the one walking out on the field. We are being given everything we need to perform. As players, we need to take responsibility when we cross that rope," Dawid Malan told BBC after England's 100-run loss to hosts India in Lucknow on Sunday (Oct 29). He said, "The facilities and work, everything is being done as it always has been. We just haven't been able to find a way to get wins on the board. It has been frustrating from a players' point of view because we know we're better than that." "I'm not involved in selection or any of those things, so I don't know how that works or who is in charge of all that, but as players, we need to take responsibility when we cross that rope," he opined. The left-hander, who has one century under his belt in the ongoing ten-team tournament, feels only good performances can bury the outside noise and stated that the group still remains close knit despite the horrible campaign. Malan mentioned, "I guess whenever you have a poor campaign there is always someone who's going to be targeted whether it be the captain, players, coach or selectors. People's jobs are being scrutinised and players' careers are being scrutinised. The only way we can get the noise off the coach is by performing. And it is up to us in the next three games to win these games and take that narrative away because we have not performed." "I know people say that a lot when their backs are against the wall but genuinely, we still back each other, we're still here for each other. We just haven't been able to put those performances out on the pitch," he further added.
