<p>A photographer who claims Kanye West threw her cell phone to the ground in a confrontation is suing the troubled rapper for assault, she said Thursday.</p>

<p>Nichol Lechmanik said the artist, who is now formally known as Ye, caused her "great mental and emotional pain" in the January confrontation.</p>

<p>A press conference in Los Angeles heard how the paparazzo was outside a sports center in Ventura County, north of the city, where Ye and Kim Kardashian's son was playing.</p>

<p>The lawsuit says Lechmanik had taken photographs of Kardashian and then saw Ye standing outside arguing with someone, so began filming him from her car.</p>

<p>The clip, which was played for reporters, shows Ye approaching the vehicle and addressing the photographer.</p>

<p>"If I wanna go see my son at a game, You all ain't gonna run up on me like that. If I say stop... stop with your cameras," the rapper says.</p>

<p>"I know, but Kanye you are a celebrity," Lechmanik replies, continuing to film.</p>

<p>The footage shows Ye reaching into her car, grabbing the phone and throwing it to the ground, before he walks away.</p>

The German sportswear brand on Friday reported a first-quarter loss and booked a net loss of 39 million euros ($43 million) from January to March, compared to a profit of 482 million euros in the period a year earlier. &nbsp;<br />

The brand suffered a loss after it ended its highly successful Yeezy line- designed in collaboration with West.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But overall sales were not as bad as feared, with analysts seeing early signs of improving fortunes, and Adidas's share price rose 7.5 percent in the afternoon on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Adidas halted its tie-up with West in October 2022 after he made a series of anti-Semitic outbursts on social media.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The loss of Yeezy, along with falling revenues for its lifestyle brands, "are of course hurting us," said new CEO Bjorn Gulden in a statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But there was no news Friday about what it would do with its huge stock of Yeezy trainers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The options are narrowing," Gulden told reporters after the results were released, but finding a solution will take time as there are "so many interested parties".</p>

<p>The company had announced in February that it could suffer an operating loss of as much as 700 million euros this year if decides to write off the value of its entire existing Yeezy inventory.</p>

<p><strong>- 'Bumpy year' -</strong><br />

Gulden, who took the reins of the company in January after joining from rival Puma, said time was needed to turn the company around.</p>

<p>"2023 will be a bumpy year with disappointing numbers, where maximising our short-term financial results is not our goal," he said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The impact of the end of the West tie-up was most clearly felt in North America, where sales plummeted 20 percent during the quarter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The company also did not do good business in China, a key market for Adidas. The market has been affected by lengthy Covid lockdowns. Adidas, though, witnessed gains in Latin America and other parts of the Asia-Pacific.<br />
But net sales came in almost flat at 5.28 billion euros, against market expectations for a fall, and Gulden said the quarter ended a "little better than we had expected".&nbsp;</p>

<p>He pointed to positive developments in some areas, such as in the popularity of its Samba, Gazelle and Campus trainers.<br />

The documentary producer, however, also mentioned&nbsp;that after his contract was extended, the communication with West soon dried up.</p>

<p>Adam says West told him that he has changed his focus. "Right now, I am living my life - like I'm concentrating on the school, The Donda Academy, and my new wife, and my kids, and that's it," the Chicago star allegedly told Adam. "I just want to be left alone."</p>

Kanye West no longer interested in running for US presidency in 2024? Here's what we know so far

<p>Students at rapper Kanye West's private school were subjected to unsafe, unregulated and unsanitary conditions, two former teachers have alleged in a new lawsuit, which was filed this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Cecilia Hailey and Chekarey Byers, the only two Black female teachers at the school, are claiming that several health and safety rules have been violated at the private Christian prep school, reports Mirror. According to the complaint, they were fired after they voiced concerns over the school's conditions to the administrators.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They were given no reason for the termination, says the court documents.</p>

<p>West has been sued by the two women for retaliation, wrongful termination, discrimination and withholding wages.</p>

<p>Attorney Ron Zambrano, a lawyer for the teachers, said in a statement,&nbsp;"Kanye West is clearly as bad at running a school as he is at managing his own personal and professional life, enabling an unsafe and illegal school environment for students."</p>

<p>Citing local real-estate and land officials, WSJ says that the size of the land the Twitter CEO owns might actually be more — as much as 6,000 acres.</p>

<p>The housing in Snailbrook will be available to Elon Musk's employees at reduced rents.</p>

<p>Starting last year, Boring employees could apply for cheaper homes with rents starting from just $800 a month for two or three-bedroom houses. This is around three times cheaper than the current market rate.</p>

<p>Before Texas, California was Musk's home. However, the billionaire left his longtime home some two years back. His companies, Tesla and The Boring Company, also had their headquarters moved from California to Texas.</p>

<p>This, as per a 2021 statement by the Tesla CEO, is because California is the land of "overregulation, overlitigation, overtaxation".</p>

<h2><strong>Will the billionaire live in Snailbrook?</strong></h2>

<p>Yes, the report citing 'people familiar with the plans' claims that the plans for Snailbrook include a project to build a private residential compound for Musk.</p>

<p>However, this private compound won't be located within the rest of the employee housing. It'll be at some distance from the planned town.</p>

<p>Texas, as per WSJ, has "fewer zoning laws and environmental and labour requirements, and has vast swaths of loosely regulated land".&nbsp;Additionally, Texas does not impose corporate income tax or income or capital gains taxes on individuals.</p>

<p>Even as the plans and construction for Snailbrook town progress at breakneck speed, residents of the area aren't too happy. David Barrow, who runs a farm in Bastrop, is worried the new projects could threaten the Colorado River's water quality.</p>

<p>His worries may be justified. Recently, the Boring Company applied for a permit from Texas state environmental authorities. This permit seeks to discharge up to 140,000 gallons of industrial wastewater a day into the Colorado River.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I would like to know what is actually being sprayed, what they’re actually building, and who is going to hold them accountable," says the farmer.</p>

<p>Adena Lewis, the county’s director of tourism and economic development, however, says she has no concerns that the company's development could harm the river or surrounding farmland. Despite this, after being approached by the county's farmers, State Senator Sarah Eckhardt requested a public environmental hearing.</p>

<p>"We’re going to need to have more of a conversation and be able to verify the assertions that these companies are making with regard to the discharge permit into the Colorado River," she said. The hearing is scheduled for this month.</p>
