<p>Donald Trump's win in the 2024 US election has come as a shock to many people, especially Hollywood celebrities who, with all their powers, had endorsed Democrat nominee Kamala Harris. Despite major support from the A-listers, Harris lost the election.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Since Trump's win, a lot of celebrity reactions have been coming in, and the most recent one is of comedian Jimmy Kimmel.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The famous host struggled to hold back his tears while delivering the monologue of the first show Jimmy Kimmel Live after Trump's win.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Calling it a terrible night, Kimmel, a Democrat, said that the country had chosen the criminal.&nbsp;</p>

‘And we chose the criminal...’: Jimmy Kimmel gets teary-eyed after Trump’s win in US election

<p>Popular US TV chat show host Jimmy Kimmel has revealed that his son Billy had his third open heart surgery over the weekend.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Taking to Instagram, Jimmy Kimmel wrote, “We went into this experience with a lot of optimism and nearly as much fear and came out with a new valve inside a happy, healthy kid,” along with a smiling image of Billy from what looks like a hospital bed.</p>

<p>In his post, the late-night host praised the doctors, nurses and staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where Billy was treated.</p>

<p>In his appreciation post for the hospital, he further wrote, “We hope you never need CHLA, but if you do – know that they help families regardless of their ability to pay, thanks largely to the Affordable Care Act (another salute to the late Senator John McCain), generous donations from companies like Disney, which I am proud to work for and especially from generous people like you.”</p>

<p>He went on to urge people to support Children’s Hospital L.A. and their local children’s hospitals.</p>

<p>Jimmy Kimmel’s son Billy has a congenital heart defect. He had earlier spoken about his boy needing an open-heart surgery. As Billy got treated, Jimmy often took to social media to advocate for health insurance coverage. He even addressed the need for all parents to buy medical coverage for themselves and their families in several interviews. Ever since it was found&nbsp;that Billy had a heart defect, Jimmy has been open about having insurance for the family.</p>

<p>In an interview with Hollywood Reporter in 2017, he said, "I knew I had to say something, and I knew that I would get emotional. It occurred to me that maybe we could make it into something positive,” he explained. “I had a lot of time to think at the hospital, and it just so happened that our government was deciding whether or not millions of people should have health care at that time. I think it made a big impact on American citizens. I’m not sure, based on how our so-called leaders voted, whether it made a big impact on the Senate or House.”</p>

<p>He added, “I don’t see what the difference between health care and education is. Every kid should have a right to an education. We don’t seem to have a problem with paying for that."</p>

I think it made a big impact on American citizens. I’m not sure, based on how our so-called leaders voted, whether it made a big impact on the Senate or House.” He added, “I don’t see what the difference between health care and education is. Every kid should have a right to an education. We don’t seem to have a problem with paying for that."

<p>Former U.S. Rep. George Santos alleged in a lawsuit filed Saturday that late-night host Jimmy Kimmel deceived him into making videos on the Cameo app that were used to ridicule the disgraced New York Republican on the show.</p>

<p>The lawsuit filed in U.S. district court for the southern district of New York names Kimmel, ABC and Walt Disney Co. as defendants. A Disney representative is listed as a media contact for Jimmy Kimmel Live! show didn’t immediately respond to an email from The Associated Press seeking comment.</p>

<p>Santos, who was expelled from the House of Representatives last year after being charged with multiple counts of fraud and stealing from donors, is suing over alleged copyright infringement, fraudulent inducement, breach of contract and unjust enrichment.</p>

<p>Kimmel misrepresented himself to induce Santos to create personalized videos “capitalizing on and ridiculing” his “gregarious personality,” the lawsuit alleges.</p>

<p>Through Cameo, Santos received requests from individuals and businesses seeking personalized video messages. Unbeknownst to Santos, Kimmel submitted at least 14 requests that used phony names and narratives, according to the complaint.</p>

<p>“Frankly, Kimmel’s fake requests were funny, but what he did was clear violation of copyright law,” Robert Fantone, an attorney for Santos, said in an email.</p>

<p>Santos is seeking statutory damages totalling $750,000 for the five videos he created that were played on the show and various social media platforms. He also asks for other damages to be determined at trial.</p>

<p>The ex-lawmaker faces a slew of criminal charges, including allegations that he defrauded campaign donors, lied to Congress about his wealth, received unemployment benefits while employed and used campaign contributions to pay for personal expenses like designer clothing. He also is alleged to have made unauthorized charges on credit cards belonging to some of his donors.</p>

<p>Santos pleaded not guilty to a revised indictment in October.</p>

<p>On Tuesday, Democrat Tom Suozzi won a special election for Santos’ former seat.</p>

I could never live with myself if I got my hometown friends sick. Thanks to all who purchased tickets, everyone will get full refunds and we will try to reschedule if possible.”</p>

According to Variety, a US-based media house, the network hadn`t aired a traditional late-night talk show since 1991`s `Into the Night With Rick Dees` (hosted, coincidentally, by another Los Angeles radio veteran), and the previous occupant, `Politically Incorrect,` had been cancelled due to declining ratings -- and controversy over 9/11-related comments host Bill Maher had made.<br />

Luckily, a woman who was doing my hair gave me gave me USD 2, I ran in grabbed the roll of cough drops. I chomped all of them on my way into the studio and was able to keep it together without coughing for the monologue.
