While attack by the Hamas terrorists led to the brutal killings of more than 1,400 Israelis, mostly civilians, the retaliatory action by Israel has killed&nbsp;more than 8,500 people, two-thirds of them women and children, according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry.

<h2>Antony Blinken's second West Asia visit in less than three weeks</h2>

Blinken's second wartime visit to West Asia is aimed at seeking&nbsp;"urgent mechanisms" to reduce regional tensions over the Israel-Hamas war.

"Secretary Blinken will travel to Israel on Friday for meetings with members of the Israeli government, and then will make other stops in the region," State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said.

Antony Blinken's previous visit to the region concluded on October 15, in what came to be known as "shuttle diplomacy" for the sheer number of&nbsp;trips and meetings the US Secretary of State had with the leaders of a host of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt.&nbsp;

The US diplomat made&nbsp;over a dozen stops in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and back in Israel.

Jordan called off the summit immediately after Israel was blamed for an attack on an hospital in Gaza but Tel Aviv&nbsp;denied any role and blamed a 'misfired' rocket by Islamic Jehad for the hundreds of casualties in the incident.&nbsp; 
 
The death toll at the hospital was also described as "exaggerated" by the Western intelligence agencies. However, the four-way leaders' summit was called off despite Biden administration's&nbsp;deployment of its Secretary of State Antony Blinken for diplomatic engagements in the region in the immediate days following the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas.

The development was described as a sign of Washington's waning political capital in the region.&nbsp;

The White House said later that Biden had spoken on Tuesday (Oct 31) with&nbsp;Jordan's King Abdullah, where Blinken visited multiple times during his first leg to West Asia visit.&nbsp;

Biden and King Abdullah II "discussed urgent mechanisms to stem violence, calm rhetoric, and reduce regional tensions," a White House statement said.

It added that the two leaders "agreed that it is critical to ensure that Palestinians are not forcibly displaced outside of Gaza" and that Biden had "confirmed unwavering US support for Jordan and His Majesty's leadership."

"At some point, what would make the most sense would be for an effective and revitalised Palestinian Authority to have governance and ultimately security responsibility for Gaza," Blinken told a Senate hearing on October 31.

"Whether you can get there in one step is a big question that we have to look at. And if you can’t, then there are other temporary arrangements that may involve a number of other countries in the region," Blinken said. "It may involve international agencies that would help provide for both security and governance."

Among the 15 Israeli soldiers killed so far during the war with Hamas, a 20-year-old soldier identified by the Israeli military is believed to be of Indian-origin.

Staff-Sgt. Halel Solomon, who hailed from the southern Israeli Dimona town, was killed when a Namer armoured personnel carrier he was in was hit by an anti-tank guided missile fired by Hamas on Wednesday (Nov 1), the IDF said, according to Times of Israel&nbsp;newspaper.

At least 11 soldiers from the Givati Infantry Brigade’s Tzabar Battalion were killed in that incident.

“We share in the grief of the parents, Ronit and Mordechai, and the sisters: Yasmin, Hila, Vered, and Shaked .... Halel aspired to do a meaningful service and enlisted in the Givati (Brigade). Halel was a devoted son and had respect for his parents always in his eyes. Possessing immense good qualities he believed in endless giving, modesty, and humility. The whole city of Dimona is grieving his passing,” Bitton said.

<h2>'Little India' in Israel</h2>

Dimona is also known as ‘little India’ due to the large concertation of Jews from India settling there.

Indian community members spoke to the PTI news agency describing Solomon as “a young man with pleasant manners and a very bright future ahead.”

They were saddened by his passing away and at the loss of lives of other young Israelis “fighting a just war for Israel’s existence.”

Terming the conflict as a “difficult war” with “painful losses,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue Israel’s fight “until victory.”

Israel carried out two airstrikes on the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza in two days. On Tuesday (Oct 31), the Hamas-run Palestinian health ministry said more than 50 people were killed after Israeli forces bombed the refugee camp.

The Hamas-run government media office said, at least 195 Palestinians were killed after Israeli strikes in the Jabalia refugee camp on Tuesday and Wednesday, reported Reuters.&nbsp;

The statement also said that around&nbsp;120 were still missing under the rubble, and at least 777 more were wounded.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Israeli army said they killed the commander of Hamas’ Central Jabaliya Battalion, Ibrahim Biari and several other militants after the strike caused underground terror tunnels to collapse, bringing down several nearby buildings.

Palestinians sifted through rubble in a desperate hunt for people trapped underneath after the second strike on Wednesday, reported Reuters. “It is a massacre,” said one witness of the strike.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the Israeli army issued a statement about Wednesday’s strike and said its fighter jets had struck a Hamas command and control complex in Jabalia “based on precise intelligence” and killed the head of the Palestinian militant group’s anti-tank missile unit, Muhammad A’sar.

<h2>Israeli strikes ‘could amount to war crimes’</h2>

In a statement on X, the UN human rights office said, “Given the high number of civilian casualties &amp; the scale of destruction following Israeli airstrikes on Jabalia refugee camp, we have serious concerns that these are disproportionate attacks that could amount to war crimes.”

The principle of proportionality cited by the UN plays an important role in the laws of war defined by the Geneva Conventions.&nbsp;

This includes sparing civilians and civilian structures, but the death of civilians during a conflict does not necessarily constitute a war crime, since warring parties can launch attacks deemed proportionate on military targets knowing that civilians could also be hit.

It is when the attack is deliberately carried out against civilians that a crime is said to be committed or if the scale of the damage to civilians is excessive compared to the military advantage.&nbsp;

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is “appalled over the escalating violence in Gaza, including the killing of Palestinians…in Israeli air strikes in residential areas of the densely populated Jabalia refugee camp,” said his spokesman Stephane Dujarric.&nbsp;

Israeli authorities have also ramped up access restrictions in the West Bank and so have settlers, said OCHA. This includes limiting access to essential services and livelihoods.&nbsp;

Israeli security forces “accompanied or actively supported” the attackers, the UN agency said. This comes as the Israeli army has increased the number of raids in the West Bank after Hamas’ attack on Israel saying that they are looking for members of the Palestinian militant group.&nbsp;

There have also been multiple reports of clashes and violence in the West Bank, particularly since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war.&nbsp;

The US, which has been a staunch supporter of Israel, urged the Israeli government to rein in the West Bank settlers calling violence in the region in tandem with the war “incredibly destabilizing”.&nbsp;

As per global charity Save the Children, in just over three weeks, the ongoing war has claimed the lives of more children than all the world's conflicts combined in the last three years.

In the crowded Gaza Strip, almost half of the 2.3 million inhabitants are under 18, and so far, around 40 per cent of the dead are children.

James Elder, the United Nations Children's Fund's (UNICEF) spokesperson,&nbsp;said, "Gaza has become a graveyard for thousands of children".

According to UNICEF estimates, every day, more than 400 children are killed or injured in Gaza due to the Israeli offensive.&nbsp;

In a statement, the UN agency said that around 3,500 children have reportedly been killed, while more than 6,800 have been injured due to the "ongoing bombardment".

"This cannot become the new normal," it asserted, adding, "Children have endured too much already. The killing and captivity of children must stop. Children are not a target."

<h2>The 'curse' of parenthood</h2>

"It’s a curse to be a parent in Gaza," said Ahmed Modawikh, who lost his eight-year-old daughter to the war, as quoted by news agency AP.

It is not just Gaza. Israeli children have also become victims of the bloodshed too. When Hamas militants launched their attack on October 7, about 1,400 Israelis were killed, among them babies and small children. 
 
Reports of allegedly beheaded babies and charred bodies of children shocked the global community. Of the more than 240 hostages still stuck in the clutches of militants, some 30 are children.

Teeth of children allegedly burnt by Hamas found under debris in Israel, minister shares images

As mentioned by news agencies, Gaza officials have said that the Rafah border crossing would reopen on Thursday so more foreigners could exit.&nbsp;

Hamas'&nbsp;underground tunnels have been described as "Gaza Metro" by Israeli authorities. These tunnels which run for miles underneath Gaza have long been a source of anxiety for Israeli forces.&nbsp;

Now, recent reports indicate that the military will use specialist units that include attack dogs.&nbsp;

As per The National report quoting officials in the Israeli military, specialist teams made up of Oketz or "sting" dog attack units and the Samur "Weasel" subterranean commandos will help deal with these tunnels.

These commandos, as per the report, have been trained in a specially built tunnel complex under the Negev Desert in Israel.&nbsp;

Reportedly, defence analysts have disclosed that the forces have used ground-penetrating radar and gravity detectors to map out the over 500-kilometre&nbsp;spiderweb tunnel system under Gaza.

Israel has also formed a force of combat engineers to locate the tunnels. This force is called Yahalom "Diamond" and has been trained to either destroy the tunnels or blow them up, to allow for a "hard entry" by the Samur and Oketz units.

The two units will drop into the tunnels that would likely have been blown open.

They will also use robots that have been developed by Tel Aviv company Roboteam. The company has developed IRIS, a 'throwbot', that boasts the capability to be operated remotely. The drone, which can provide critical insights and imagery from within the intricate tunnel network, is tailored to meet the demands of combat situations. It can even feature the capacity for attachments, such as weapons, ensuring enhanced capabilities for potential threats that may be seen during reconnaissance.

Alongside IRIS, Roboteam technology company has developed the MTGR (Micro Tactical Ground Robot). This as per reports, can navigate stairs and confined spaces like caves.

"It is a very complicated situation, and I'm not talking about the number of dead or number of kidnapped, namely the infrastructure of the lower city, of the tunnels, is a very delicate situation," said Omri Attar, a reserve major in a special operations brigade.

Hamas is believed to have dug some of the Gaza tunnel network decades ago, back in the mid-1990s. As per reports, these tunnels have evolved into a multifaceted infrastructure. Much of it stretches under civilian structures and has exit/entry points in civilian areas.

Reuters reports that Israeli ground troops have also been trained to locate and seal off air vents and escape hatches leading to the tunnel openings.

<h2>‘Completely inadequate’&nbsp;</h2>

Guterres also noted that the amount of humanitarian assistance that has been allowed into Gaza up till now is “completely inadequate” and not enough to meet the needs of people in the Palestinian territory, “compounding the humanitarian tragedy”.&nbsp;

White House national security spokesperson John Kirby, said on Tuesday (Oct 31) that 66 trucks of humanitarian assistance entered Gaza in the last 24 hours, adding that dozens of more trucks are expected to be cleared for deliveries at the Rafah border crossing.&nbsp;

The US official also acknowledged that this is “just a fraction” of how much is needed in Gaza and at some point they would reach up to 100 a day.&nbsp;

Justifying the acts of the Islamist terrorist group, the Urdu-to-English translation of Haniyeh's televised address quoted him as saying, "Hamas presented a comprehensive vision that begins with stopping the aggression, opening the crossings, and concluding a prisoner exchange deal."&nbsp;

It includes Hezbollah in Lebanon, Shia militias in Syria, Houthi rebels in Yemen, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza, and other Iran-backed groups in Iraq.&nbsp;

These groups have varying levels of closeness to Iran and often share a common resistance to Western powers and Israel.

The ties shared by these groups are also dynamic in nature. For instance, the relationship between Hamas, a Sunni Islamist group, and Iran has been complex with their cooperation not always smooth.&nbsp;

Tensions between Hamas and Iran arose when the Palestinian militant group supported protesters against Syria's President Bashar Assad.&nbsp;

It is worth noting that Iran already backs the Syrian government. However, despite these occasional differences between Hamas and Iran, both share anti-American and anti-Israeli sentiments.

Ghattas, who is also a distinguished fellow at the Columbia Institute of Global Politics reportedly said, "It is important to remember that Hamas is not a proxy of Iran in the way that Hezbollah is."

"Hezbollah has become an extension of [the] Iranian Revolutionary Guards Quds Force," Ghattas said. "Hamas keeps its own separate identity and it has other backers, aside from Iran," he added.&nbsp;

Calling the attack by Israel "treacherous and brutal," the statement also showed its support for "our oppressed and steadfast people in Gaza and the West Bank."

Hezbollah leader Nasrallah earlier also talked of what was dubbed a "unity of fronts." The vision behind these Iran-backed groups is reportedly to come under one umbrella and form a resistance group against Israel.&nbsp;

NPR while quoting experts is of the opinion that even when the Hezbollah leader did not speak of the "unity of front," they were already closer to forming a sort of coalition against Israel.&nbsp;

Mohanad Hage Ali, a Beirut-based senior fellow at the Carnegie Middle East Center, told NPR that the "unity of fronts" of Iranian-backed proxies is "a kind of NATO for militant groups" in the region.&nbsp;

The Iranian regime and its Quds Force are all included in the Axis of Resistance. Islamic Jihad in Palestine get most of its budget from Tehran. And, Iran-backed Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) in Iraq are also part of this resistance axis.&nbsp;

The origin of the "axis of resistance" reportedly came after former US President George W. Bush used the term "axis of evil". At the time, he was referring to Iran, Iraq, and North Korea, in his 2002 State of the Union address.&nbsp;

However, there are debated reports about the origin of the term "Axis of Resistance" in relation to Iran and its proxies active across the Middle East.&nbsp;

So far, the US has not backed the calls for a ceasefire in Gaza. However, on Monday, the White House said that they do support calls for humanitarian “pauses” in fighting to get aid into Gaza.&nbsp;

“We do not believe that a ceasefire is the right answer right now,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters. He added, “We do not support a ceasefire at this time.”

Two of Biden’s top advisers – Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin – were testifying before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Biden’s request for $106 billion to fund ambitious plans for Ukraine, Israel and US border security.&nbsp;

As per news agency AFP reports, the US president asked for $61 billion in military aid for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel.&nbsp;

Blinken and Austin argued that supporting American partners is vital to national security. Of the requested $61.4 billion for Ukraine, about half&nbsp;would be spent in the United States to replenish weapons stocks drained by previous support for Kyiv.

The package also includes $7 billion for resisting China and bolstering allies in the Asia-Pacific region, and over $9 billion for humanitarian assistance for Gaza, Ukraine and Israel.

In the latest development from the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian group has said that in the coming days, it would release some of the foreign hostages that it took captive during its unprecedented onslaught on Oct&nbsp;7.

Hamas's armed wing on Tuesday (Oct 31) said that it would free "a certain number of foreigners" as it vowed to turn Gaza into a graveyard for the Israeli army.

"We have informed intermediaries that we will release a certain number of foreigners in the next few days," Abu Obeida, a spokesman for Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, said in a televised address.

"Gaza will be a graveyard and a quagmire for the enemy, its soldiers and its political and military leadership," said Obeida.

Reportedly, at the moment, Hamas has held approximately 240 hostages in Gaza after the militant group launched a surprise attack against Israel on Oct 7 prompting a fierce ground offensive by Israeli defence forces.

"If the enemy wants to close this file of detainees in one go, we are ready for it. If it wants to do it step-by-step, we are ready for that too."

In a press briefing on Saturday (Oct 28), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while not making any commitment to the exchange deal, vowed to "exhaust every option to bring them (the hostages) home".&nbsp;

The Bolivian government “has decided to break diplomatic relations with the Israeli state in repudiation and condemnation of the aggressive and disproportionate Israeli military offensive taking place in the Gaza Strip,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Freddy Mamani during a press conference.&nbsp;

Bolivia has also called for a ceasefire and an end to “the blockade that prevents the entry of food, water and other essential elements for life,” Mamani added.&nbsp;

<h2>Not the first time</h2>

The government of leftist President Luis Arce is the first in Latin America to cut ties with Israel. However, this is not the first time that Bolivia has cut ties with Israel over its actions in Gaza.&nbsp;

In 2009, Bolivia under the government of leftist President Evo Morales, cut diplomatic ties with Israel in protest of its actions in Gaza. It was not until 2020, the government of right-wing interim President Jeanine Anez, that the country re-established ties with Israel.&nbsp;

The announcement on Tuesday also comes a day after Arce met with the Palestinian ambassador to Bolivia. “We reject the war crimes being committed in Gaza. We support international initiatives to guarantee humanitarian aid, in compliance with international law,” said the Bolivian president.

Israel's operations amounted to "collective punishment" of Gaza's civilian population, said the ministry, calling for an&nbsp;immediate end to hostilities, the release of hostages held by Palestinian militants who control Gaza as well as allow&nbsp;the transit of humanitarian aid.&nbsp;

A week ago, a Palestinian American family in Maple Grove, Minnesota in the US, learned that they had lost 42 members of their family to the war.

Tariq Hamouda and his wife&nbsp;still cannot fully comprehend that they've lost three generations of their family.&nbsp;Talking to CNN, Hamouda said that his wife, whose maiden name is Saqallah, lost four brothers, a sister, and their many children in what they claim were Israeli airstrikes. The explosions, as per the family, destroyed the Saqallah family compound in the Sheikh Ejleen neighbourhood of Gaza City on October 19.&nbsp;

"Up until last night, she is still denying (the loss)," said Hamouda.

He told CNN that of the 42 family members they lost, the youngest was aged just three months, and the oldest was around 77 years. Among the deceased were medical professionals, including eye and ENT doctors who operated Gaza's prominent family-owned eye clinics.

<h2>No warning given</h2>

As per Tariq Hamouda, before the strikes, the family received calls warning of military activity in the area, but they were not asked to evacuate.

"They have bombed houses with warnings and without warnings," he said, deploring the fear, and confusion faced by Palestinians.

Hamouda revealed that his mother-in-law, who was standing on the balcony when the first strike happened, managed to escape.&nbsp;

Hamouda and his family insist that the affected family members had no involvement in any militant activities and that they "had nothing to do with anything at all."

Abu Shaban underlined that their family consisted of ordinary civilians.

"We have no Hamas members [in our family]. They're just ordinary people: doctors and grandmothers and grandfathers and uncles and aunts and children," he lamented, adding, "I mean, if you want to exterminate Hamas then you should go to the source."

The Russian President claimed that there have been "attempts" to destabilise the Russian society.

Putin blames Ukraine and the West for airport riot; claims US behind 'deadly chaos' in Middle East

More than 50 people were reported killed after Israeli forces allegedly bombed a refugee camp in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip, the health ministry claimed on Tuesday.

"More than 50 martyrs and around 150 wounded and dozens under the rubble, in a heinous Israeli massacre that targeted a large area of homes in Jabalia camp in the northern (Gaza) Strip," a ministry statement said.

According to AFP, at least 47 bodies have been recovered at the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

The ministry said the blast was caused by an Israeli air strike.

At least 221 schools and more than 177,000 housing units have been damaged or destroyed, according to the UNICEF chief.&nbsp;

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported 34 attacks against healthcare facilities, including 21 hospitals, said Russell. She also said that out of Gaza’s 35 hospitals, at least a dozen can no longer function.&nbsp;

“Children in both Israel and the State of Palestine are experiencing terrible trauma, the consequences of which could last a lifetime,” said the UNICEF chief.&nbsp;

<h2>‘Not enough essential supplies’ in Gaza: OCHA</h2>

Lisa Doughten, a representative from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that they are running out of “essential supplies” in Gaza and called for a pause in the fighting on “humanitarian grounds.”&nbsp;

“We simply don’t have enough essential supplies to provide… patients are laying on the floors and corridors and surgeons are operating without anesthesia,” said Doughten.&nbsp;

The events that have unfolded since October 7 have been “nothing short of devastating and heartbreaking.” She also called for an immediate and unconditional release of hostages taken by Hamas.&nbsp;

‘No place is safe’: UN agencies raise concern over situation in Gaza amid Israel-Hamas war

Israel said on Monday (Oct 30) that its forces freed a soldier from Hamas captivity during the ground offensive in the Gaza Strip.&nbsp;

The soldier, identified as Ori Megidish, was kidnapped by Hamas during attacks on Oct 7, which killed over 1,400 Israelis, mostly civilians. The military said that she has since undergone medical checks and is "doing well".&nbsp;

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the military has been carrying out a ground campaign in Gaza to create the possibility for the rescue of over 200 hostages being held by Hamas.&nbsp;

Earlier on Monday, Hamas released a video showing three of the more than 230 people Israel says were seized by the militants in the Oct&nbsp;7 attacks which triggered an all-out war in Gaza.&nbsp;

<h2>Netanyahu says no ceasefire</h2>

The Israeli prime minister weighed in on the calls for a ceasefire in Israel's war against Hamas, saying it "will not happen". His remarks came as the UN issued a warning that not enough aid was coming in to meet "unprecedented humanitarian needs".&nbsp;

In a briefing to foreign press, Netanyahu said a ceasefire would amount to surrendering to Hamas. "Calls for a ceasefire are calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorism... this will not happen," he said, vowing Israel would "fight until this battle is won".

The United States also objected to a ceasefire. "We do not believe that a ceasefire is the right answer right now," National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said, adding that "pauses" to get aid into Gaza should be considered instead.

Muslim Americans to Biden: No votes for you if no ceasefire in Gaza

Russia has beefed up security in the Muslim-majority North Caucasus region after the massive anti-Semitic riots over the weakened.

The decision was taken following an emergency meeting held between President Vladimir Putin and top security officials on Monday evening.

The Kremlin did not provide additional details of the meeting, except saying that the deliberations focused on strengthening measures to counter external interference.

It did not disclose what those measures were, but Ramzan Kadyrov, the Kremlin-backed head of Chechnya, was reported to have issued an order to shoot and kill anyone trying to riot in his Muslim-majority republic, which borders Dagestan.

Later in a speech on TV, Putin blamed the Western agents for the riots, saying, “The events in Makhachkala last night were instigated through social networks, not least from Ukraine, by the hands of agents of Western special services.”

<h2>Sporadic protests caught authorities off-guard&nbsp;</h2>

On Sunday, swam of rioters in the southern Dagestan region stormed an airport on Sunday to "catch" Jewish passengers arriving on a flight from Tel Aviv.

The sporadic nature of the protests had caught the authorities off-guard as it took them hours to regain control of the airport in Makachkala

More than 20 people were injured and at least 80 were detained. The incident was condemned by Jewish leaders who equated the incident to Tsarist-era pogroms.

Meanwhile, Israel has warned its citizens to leave the northern Caucasus in the wake of the riots.

Israel's Foreign Ministry and National Security Council warned its citizens to immediately leave the place and called on "all Israelis staying abroad to exercise vigilance, and stay away from demonstrations and protests, and obey the local security forces in case they get caught up in the incidents."

It also raised its travel warning level to 4, the highest level, calling on citizens to avoid all travel to Dagestan and neighbouring regions, and for those who are there to leave as soon as possible.

Jewish students at Cornell University received anti-Semitic death threats online over the weekend, prompting the staff to send police to guard them.

According to the president of the university, Martha E Pollack, several hate messages were posted on a website not affiliated with the university on Sunday, encouraging many to harm Jews in the school.

“A series of horrendous, antisemitic messages threatening violence to our Jewish community and specifically naming 104 West— the home of the Center for Jewish Living — was posted on a website unaffiliated with Cornell,” Pollack said in a statement.

The messages, which have now been deleted, included threats to shoot Jewish students at the 104 West building, which houses their kosher dining hall, the school’s student newspaper, The Cornell Daily Sun, reported.

Though the campus authorities didn’t initiate any lockdown procedures or close down the dining hall, Cornell Hillel, a Jewish campus organisation, called on the students and staff to avoid the building “in an abundance of caution.”

<h2>Online posts called for killing Jews</h2>

The threats come in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war which has fuelled tensions on college campuses across the US.

Many institutions such as Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania saw students protesting and calling for a ceasefire even as staff grappled to tame the fervent agitation.

According to CNN, some instructions are also facing backlash from influential donors demanding colleges take a clearer stance on the conflict.

On Monday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul visited Cornell’s Center for Jewish Living where he vowed to ensure the safety of the Jewish community and hold the perpetrators accountable.

“We are getting punished for your political, national neglect,” she says. “Nobody came. Nobody heard us.”

She further said that they had been in captivity for 23 days, suggesting that the video was filmed on Sunday (Oct 29) or Monday (Oct 30), over three weeks after Hamas launched an all-front assault on 7 October

Furthermore, she pleads for an exchange of hostages for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.

“Let their citizens go, let their prisoners go. Free us. Free all of us. Let us return to our families now!” she was heard as saying, reported the Guardian.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu slammed the video terming it as "cruel psychological propaganda".

In a statement, Netanyahu also named the hostages, saying: "I turn to Elena Trupanov, Daniel Aloni and Rimon Kirsht who were kidnapped by Hamas who commits war crimes. I hug you.".

Netanyahu also rejected an immediate swap and said the offensive in Gaza would put pressure on Hamas to make concessions.
