The PCB chief added that due to some recent developments, the relationship between the two countries has started to improve. However, Mani further said that the Asia Cup 2021 is unlikely to be held as Pakistan doesn't have the time for it due to PSL 6 matches and India will be playing the ICC&nbsp;World Test Championship final against New Zealand with a tour of England immediately scheduled after that.&nbsp;

“There was a small window in June in which we are going to play the rest of the Pakistan Super League matches,” he said.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“The Indian team will play the final of the Test Championship against New Zealand. They have to go to England two weeks ago and stay in quarantine so the Indian team is also busy.”&nbsp;

Mani said he hasn't officially received any information on the reports of India sending its ‘B’ team for the Asia Cup but added that there&nbsp;is “no question” of having an Asia Cup this year and that Sri Lanka will host the event in 2022 instead.&nbsp;&nbsp;

And if we do play, there is a possibility of relations improving," Mushtaq added.

However, Mushtaq said that playing cricket between India and Pakistan is not simply for higher revenues as there are possibilities of relations improving between both the nations if cricket is resumed. And if we do play, there is a possibility of relations improving," Mushtaq added. "Sachin and Shane Warne had organised All Stars matches in America (in 2015). You won't believe I saw a flag with colours of both India and Pakistan flags. An Indian and Pakistani were holding that together. It brought the two nations closer. I would request the ICC too look into this. Financially also, it is a win-win for both BCCI and PCB. The series is much bigger than the Ashes," Mushtaq concluded.

“In this time of crisis, I want to propose a three-match series in which for the first time, the people of neither country would be upset at the outcome of the games,” Akhtar told PTI from Islamabad.

And whatever funds are generated through this can be donated equally to the government of India and Pakistan to fight this pandemic,” added the 44-year-old.

India and Pakistan have not played a full-fledged bilateral series 2007 amid the diplomatic tensions. Both the nations have locked horns only in the ICC events and Asia Cup.&nbsp;

"We do not feel safe regardless of what a security agency hired by the ITF feels," the letter further said.&nbsp;

Bhupathi has also urged the&nbsp;AITA&nbsp;to ask the players individually and&nbsp;ascertain their thoughts. He&nbsp;also requested for a "neutral venue".&nbsp;

"I still urge you to put in a request to the ITF asap for a change of venue since we do not feel safe," added Bhupathi in the letter.&nbsp;

The 12-time doubles grand slam winner had earlier written to AITA expressing reservations over touring to Pakistan and had demanded security guarantees.&nbsp;

On the request of the venue change, International Tennis Federation (ITF) had said earlier in a statement that it was satisfied with Pakistan's security plan for the event.&nbsp;

Arthur's emotional comment may have been exaggerated to show how passionate he is about his job.

But some fans feel the South Africa-born coach's words are in bad taste given Pakistan's former coach Bob Woolmer died of natural causes during the 2007 World Cup.

Pakistan lifted Arthur's spirts with an impressive 49-run win against South Africa at Lord's.

They now need to win their remaining three matches and improve their inferior net run-rate to have a chance of finishing in the top four and advancing to the semi-finals.

Pakistan play New Zealand in Birmingham on Wednesday.
