<p>Reports from the Hyderabad police indicate that the robbers were armed with a country-made pistol and a knife when they entered&nbsp;the house. However, they were met with formidable resistance from the courageous women.</p>

<p>Soon after, another woman&nbsp;is seen in the video, informing the mother-daughter duo of another robber in the house. A few more men could also be seen entering the house to help the ladies.</p>

<p>According to the police, she planned to fulfil her ambitions by kidnapping him by hiring four men for the job. Additionally, she attached an AirTag to Pranav’s car to track his whereabouts continuously.</p>

<p>On February 11, the four hired men kidnapped the victim and took him to the woman's office where they&nbsp;thrashed him badly, police said.</p>

Indian man dies after 'smile-enhancement' operation just weeks before wedding

<p>The family of an Indian-origin student who passed away in Canada due to a cardiac arrest on Friday (Feb 16) is seeking assistance from External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to repatriate his body to India. The student has been identified as Shaik Muzammil Ahmed, a Hyderabad resident.</p>

<p>On X, formerly Twitter, Amjad Ullah Khan, a leader from the Telangana-based political party Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), confirmed the news of the 25-year-old student's death and stated that Ahmed's family has sought assistance from Union Minister S Jaishankar.</p>

<p>According to Khan, Ahmed, a Master's student in IT at Conestoga College in Ontario, had been suffering from a fever for the past week. On Friday, his family received a call from a friend informing them of his sudden demise.</p>

India: PM Modi visits Tirupati shrine, all set to hold mega road show in Hyderabad

<p>At least nine people&nbsp;have been killed and several&nbsp;others were injured after a fire&nbsp;broke out in the Indian city of&nbsp;Hyderabad at a&nbsp;chemical warehouse&nbsp;on Monday (Nov 13). The incident, which took place in the city's&nbsp;Nampally area, is said to have been caused by&nbsp;a spark during a car repair.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A report by news agency ANI citing&nbsp;Hyderabad's Central Zone DCP Venkateshwar Rao said that the blaze was caused by a spark during a car repair and spread&nbsp;to the chemicals&nbsp;kept in the warehouse.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The repair work of a car was going on in the godown on the ground floor. The sparks spread to the chemical barrel kept in the godown and caused the fire. Within no time, the fire engulfed other floors of the building and caused six deaths," said Rao.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control, said the DCP.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Director General of Fire Services, Nagi Reddy said that the storage of chemicals in the building might have been done illegally. "Chemicals were stored in the stilt area of the building and the fire was caused due to these chemicals," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile,&nbsp;Telangana Chief Minister&nbsp;KC Rao has expressed grief over the incident and&nbsp;offered condolences, while instructing the officials concerned&nbsp;to provide all&nbsp;relief measures immediately.&nbsp;</p>

India: Man who went to girlfriend's home on date falls to death while trying to hide from her father

<p>Consulate General of India in Chicago on Saturday (August 5) extended medical and travel assistance to the Hyderabad woman who was discovered starving on the streets some days ago.</p>

<p>The consulate shared that Syeda Zaidi is "fit".<br />

"Happy that we could contact Syeda Zaidi and offered help, including medical assistance and travel to India. She is fit and has spoken to her mother in India. She is yet to respond to our offer of support to return to India. We stand ready to extend to her all assistance," said the consulate, in a post on X.<br />

Syeda Lulu Minhaj Zaidi, who had gone to the United States to pursue a master's degree, was found a week ago starving on Chicago's streets. On further investigation, it was found that all her belongings were stolen and that she was depressed.</p>

"This is to state that my daughter Syeda Lulu Minhaj Zaidi went to pursue her Master's in Information Science from TRINE University, Detroit, USA in Aug 2021... She was in touch with us. For the last two months, she was not in touch with me and recently, through two Hyderabadi youths we came to know that my daughter is in deep depression and all her belongings had been stolen due to which she is on the verge of starvation and is being seen on the roads of Chicago," read the letter.<br />

"It is requested to kindly ask the Embassy of India, Washington DC, USA, and the Indian Consulate in Chicago, USA to immediately interfere and bring back my daughter as soon as possible to India. Necessary action taken in this regard may be informed," she stated.</p>

<h2><strong>Multiple appeals to minister to facilitate girl's return</strong></h2>

<p>A spokesperson of Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), a Telangana-based party, said that an appeal was made to Minister Jaishankar to facilitate the girl's return to India. "After my tweet, I received a reply from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Consulate in Chicago that she is not in a condition to travel immediately,” the spokesperson said.<br />

"We are trying to send her parents to Chicago to take care of her. The parents do not have passports. We have appealed to IT Minister KTR (Telangana) to help them get passports and visas from the US Consulate in Hyderabad. Many individuals and organisations have come forward for their trip to the US," he added.</p>

<p>“Google company's office in Maharashtra's Pune city was briefly put on alert after it received a call about a bomb in the premises which later turned out to be a hoax,” said the police, on Monday. Google's office located at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai received the call at 7:54 pm (local time) on Sunday that a bomb had been placed in the tech giant’s Pune office, said the police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Subsequently, the Pune police along with the BDDS checked Google office premises which is&nbsp;in the city’s Mundhwa area on the 11th floor but nothing suspicious was found, said the officials. The caller was later traced to the Indian state Telangana’s city of Hyderabad and detained by the city’s police. According to Amol Zende, DCP (Crime) Pune, the accused made the hoax call due to a dispute with his brother who works at the Google office based in Pune.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The caller has been traced to Hyderabad and apprehended. He allegedly made the call in an inebriated condition,” said the Pune police official. An investigation into the incident is underway, said the authorities. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the accused at Mumbai’s BKC police station under sections 505 (1) (b) and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for intent to cause harm and likely to cause, fear or alarm to public and criminal intimidation respectively.&nbsp;</p>

Google's office located at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai received the call at 7:54 pm (local time) on Sunday that a bomb had been placed in the tech giant’s Pune office, said the police. Subsequently, the Pune police along with the BDDS checked Google office premises which is in the city’s Mundhwa area on the 11th floor but nothing suspicious was found, said the officials. The caller was later traced to the Indian state Telangana’s city of Hyderabad and detained by the city’s police. According to Amol Zende, DCP (Crime) Pune, the accused made the hoax call due to a dispute with his brother who works at the Google office based in Pune. “The caller has been traced to Hyderabad and apprehended. He allegedly made the call in an inebriated condition,” said the Pune police official. An investigation into the incident is underway, said the authorities. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the accused at Mumbai’s BKC police station under sections 505 (1) (b) and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for intent to cause harm and likely to cause, fear or alarm to public and criminal intimidation respectively. <p>"We don't know what statements were made but the fact that absolutely no action was taken. Apparently, an FIR has been registered but there is absolutely no information as to what the hooligans wanted and what was the cause of the said abuse and assault. Don't know what the ministers, MLAs and the entire state government are doing about this incident," she added.&nbsp;</p>

The victim has been identified as Himank Bansal, an undergraduate law student at the IFHE in Hyderabad.
