Why are the fertility rates decreasing? The factors that contribute to the decreasing rates include: Increased education and job opportunities for women Better access to contraception Changing views on family size Cost of raising children How will the decreasing fertility rates impact the world? To maintain stable population numbers, countries need a fertility rate of 2.1 children per woman which is known as replacement level. Once the rates drop below this level, the population size starts to shrink. By 2100, nearly all countries (97%) are projected to have fertility rates below replacement level, leading to population declines globally. Currently, 46% of countries have a fertility rate below the replacement level. Since the decline is not even, the world will face a demographic divide with high-income countries that have low fertility rates, facing challenges with aging population and workforce shortages, and low-income regions seeing a rise in births, straining resources. Dr. Teresa Castro Martín, a professor at the Institute of Economics, Geography, and Demography of the Spanish National Research Council told CNN, “An important contribution of the study is to highlight the demographic contrast between the richest countries (with very low fertility) and the poorest countries (with still high fertility).” While a shrinking population may reduce strain on resources and carbon emissions, increased consumption per capita could offset these gains. How to combat the demographic divide? While immigration encouragement and technological innovations could ease economic impacts. The study highlighted that among individuals under 50 years of age who smoked heavily (more than 20 cigarettes per day), the risk of stroke more than doubled, surpassing the increase observed in participants aged 70 and above. Furthermore, for those aged 50-59, there was an eightfold increase in the risk of large vessel stroke, affecting major blood vessels supplying the brain.

The study, conducted at TwinsUK, the UK's largest adult twin registry based at King's College London, aimed to explore the impact of two commonly available plant fibre supplements, inulin and FOS, on both muscle health and brain function.

Researchers enlisted 36 pairs of twin pairs, totaling 72 participants, aged over 60 for the double-blind trial. Each twin pair was randomised&nbsp;to receive either placebo or prebiotic daily.&nbsp;

Del Campo warned young skin can be damaged by unsuitable ingredients.

He has also seen "self-esteem issues" among his child patients who "feel the need to correct perceived flaws that may not actually exist."

Employees at Sephora have complained about the behaviour of young customers in stores with videos showing make-up counters in disarray with spilt products.

Sephora, which is part of the LVMH luxury group, did not respond to requests to comment from AFP.

Michael Stora, a psychoanalyst specialising in online behaviour, said the girls in the videos are "not playing with dolls as you might expect at their age -- they are the dolls."

Some mothers in the videos defend the trend as just a "game" -- but Stora accused parents of the "fetishisation" of their offspring.

On day 1, consume 1,100 calories, of which around 11 per cent comes from protein, 46 per cent is fat and 43 per cent carbohydrates.

From Day 2 to Day 4, consume just about 725 calories — nine per cent protein, 44 per cent fat and 47 per cent carbs.

Here the focus is on a diet that is low-calorie, low-protein, low-carbohydrate and high in unsaturated fats.

Throughout users must consume a minimum of 70 ounces (around 2.1 litres) of water. For optimal results, users are recommended to follow the diet once a month, three times.&nbsp;
