The new ruling, however, did not address the ethics accusations brought against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis by the defendants.

The Republican National Committee's new leadership team, backed by&nbsp;former president Donald Trump and led by his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, began firing dozens of employees days after it took over, US media reports said.

Nearly 60 people were informed that they were no longer employed, according to people aware of the matter.

According to the reports, the data, political and communications employees were affected and notifications were sent by Chris LaCivita, who is a senior Trump adviser and was present at the RNC’s Capitol Hill headquarters.&nbsp;

LaCivita had complained against employees of the RNC for several months and had planned to make changes. The payroll of the organisation and the employees were studied by Trump's adviser for several weeks.

An email, which was sent to some RNC employees from Chief Operating Officer Sean Cairncross, read that “certain staff are being asked to resign and reapply.”

The email further said that those employees who will not reapply will have their last working day with the RNC on March 31.

On Friday (Mar 8), the RNC voted for the installation of new leaders which included Michael Whatley as chair and Lara Trump as co-chair.&nbsp;

LaCivita, a top aide for Trump’s 2024 campaign,&nbsp; took over as the chief of staff of the committee.&nbsp;

The Republican National Committee's new leadership team, backed by former president Donald Trump and led by his daughter-in-law Lara Trump, began firing dozens of employees days after it took over, US media reports said. Nearly 60 people were informed that they were no longer employed, according to people aware of the matter. According to the reports, the data, political and communications employees were affected and notifications were sent by Chris LaCivita, who is a senior Trump adviser and was present at the RNC’s Capitol Hill headquarters. LaCivita had complained against employees of the RNC for several months and had planned to make changes. The payroll of the organisation and the employees were studied by Trump's adviser for several weeks. An email, which was sent to some RNC employees from Chief Operating Officer Sean Cairncross, read that “certain staff are being asked to resign and reapply.” The email further said that those employees who will not reapply will have their last working day with the RNC on March 31. On Friday (Mar 8), the RNC voted for the installation of new leaders which included Michael Whatley as chair and Lara Trump as co-chair. "He will not give a penny into the Ukraine-Russia war and therefore the war will end," Orban told state television late on Sunday (March 10). "As it is obvious that Ukraine on its own cannot stand on its feet."

"If the Americans do not give money and weapons, and also the Europeans, then this war will be over. And if the Americans do not give money the Europeans are unable to finance this war on their own, and then the war will end."

Orban stated that it was "another matter" how the conflict would come to an end with peace negotiations following a truce and how a secure and stable Europe would be established, however, first and foremost peace must be achieved and "he (Trump) has the means for that."

Orban, who is admired by many American conservatives for his tough immigration policies, family support schemes and vocal stance on national sovereignty, said in a video on his Facebook page that there was peace in the Middle East and also Ukraine during Trump's 2017-2021 presidency.

"Hungary is a Safe Country because of his Strong Immigration Policies, and as long as he is in charge, it always will be!" Trump added.

Orban has refused to provide arms to Kyiv and has maintained close economic ties with Moscow since Russia launched its offensive against Ukraine in 2022.

He last met Russian President Vladimir Putin in China in October last year despite efforts by the European Union to isolate Moscow. &nbsp;

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump on Friday (Mar 8) appealed a&nbsp;US jury decision to award $83.3 million to writer E Jean Carroll in a defamation suit.

The 80-year-old columnist filed a defamation case against the former US president after he branded her a liar following her accusations of rape.

In his appeal to the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan, Trump said he would cover "all adverse orders, rulings, decrees, decisions, opinions, memoranda, conclusions, or findings" leading to the January 26 verdict.

He further disclosed that he had lined up a $91.63 million bond from Federal Insurance Co for the appeal.

The appeal originated from a Manhattan jury's finding in June 2019 that Trump had defamed Carroll, a former journalist for Elle magazine, by refuting her&nbsp;claim that he had sexually assaulted her in a Manhattan dressing room at the Bergdorf Goodman department store in the mid-1990s.

Jurors awarded Carroll $18.3 million of compensatory damages, which included $7.3 million for emotional harm and $11 million for reputational harm.&nbsp;

They also awarded her punitive damages of $65 million.

Trump has argued that he shouldn't owe anything, or as an alternative, the amounts owed should be much decreased.

It is worth noting that even before the January 6, 2021 riot at the US Capitol, relations between McConnell and Trump were not smooth, but they became worse after.&nbsp;

The Senate minority leader and the former president have not reportedly spoken since December 2020. The endorsement came after “lengthy discussions” over the past few months between Chris LaCivita from the Trump campaign and longtime McConnell confidant Josh Holmes, according to a report by CNN.
