<p>“Airline employees and passengers were able to restrain the youth following the assault,” it added. The 16-year-old boy, who was not identified was said to be from Grande Prairie, a city in northwest Alberta.</p>

<p>The flight was diverted to Winnipeg where upon landing, the suspect was promptly arrested and later taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation, said the police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The latest woes with Trudeau's jet&nbsp;came to light during an inspection on Tuesday (Jan 2), reports said citing the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND).</p>

<p>Immediately after Trudeau's jet broke down, a second Challenger aircraft carrying a maintenance team was swiftly dispatched to Jamaica on Wednesday (Jan 3).</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the original aircraft was successfully restored after "serviceability".</p>

<p>“The (second) aircraft remained in the area as a back-up if necessary, and the Prime Minister was able to return on the original aircraft," said&nbsp;DND spokesperson Andrée-Anne Poulin.</p>

The claim has been outrightly rejected by the Indian government and they have demanded evidence from Ottawa. "There's an understanding that maybe, maybe just churning out attacks against Canada isn't going to make this problem go away," he said. Canada doesn't wish to fight with India: Trudeau In a US indictment, it was alleged that $100,000 was offered to a man, called Nikhil Gupta, by Indian officials for hiring an assassin to kill Pannun in New York. Although the claim of Canada was rejected by India, it added that they were taking the indictment seriously. Trudeau further added that Canada is not willing to fight with India even though China has continued to assert its dominance in the Indo-Pacific region. "We don't want to be in a situation of having a fight with India right now over this. We want to be working on that trade deal. We want to be advancing the Indo-Pacific strategy," Trudeau said.
