Watching him perform is nothing short of a masterclass in acting itself.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>His ability to transform into characters with depth and authenticity has earned him immense respect, with many of his roles leaving a lasting impact on audiences for years. Now, his film Main Actor Nahin Hoon (I Am Not an Actor) is creating quite the buzz. After making waves at the New York Indian Film Festival, the film will now be screened at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute — a place that has shaped generations of performers.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Main Actor Nahin Hoon revolves around a retired banker-turned-aspiring actor—played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui—who connects virtually with a professional actor for acting lessons. The film also stars Chitrangada Satarupa and Naveen Kasturia, alongside Ayushi Gupta, Yasir Iftikhar Khan, Meenakshi Arundhati, and Vibhawari Deshpande. The film will be screened exclusively for current students and alumni of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute on June 24.</p>

<p>Following the screening, there will be an intimate conversation with Siddiqui and writer-director Aditya Kripalani. “We are so excited about this. It is a film about acting, so for it to go to a prestigious establishment like this is a huge honour,” says Kripalani. Siddiqui, trained in method acting, will also conduct a special masterclass on his process and the various interpretations of the craft. “As artistes, we feel bankers have it easy... I want to debunk these labels,” adds Kripalani, challenging narrow perceptions of professions and identity.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s recent film Costao received critical acclaim, further cementing his reputation as a powerhouse performer. The actor has several exciting projects lined up and is currently shooting for them. He will next be seen in Maddock Films’ horror-comedy Thama, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana. Fans eagerly await more of his legendary performances on screen.</p>

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Main Actor Nahin Hoon to be screened at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most legendary actors in Indian cinema, known for consistently delivering legendary performances on screen. Watching him perform is nothing short of a masterclass in acting itself. His ability to transform into characters with depth and authenticity has earned him immense respect, with many of his roles leaving a lasting impact on audiences for years. Now, his film Main Actor Nahin Hoon (I Am Not an Actor) is creating quite the buzz. After making waves at the New York Indian Film Festival, the film will now be screened at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute — a place that has shaped generations of performers. Main Actor Nahin Hoon revolves around a retired banker-turned-aspiring actor—played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui—who connects virtually with a professional actor for acting lessons. The film also stars Chitrangada Satarupa and Naveen Kasturia, alongside Ayushi Gupta, Yasir Iftikhar Khan, Meenakshi Arundhati, and Vibhawari Deshpande. The film will be screened exclusively for current students and alumni of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute on June 24.

<p>Jay Thakkar is gearing up for the release of his next big-screen appearance in Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer <i>Bhool Chuk Maaf.</i> A romantic comedy set in a small town of India, the film takes a humorous look at a man who desperately wants to get married to the love of his life but gets stuck in a time loop, with the D-day never happening for him.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Exploring comedy with <i>Bhool Chuk Maaf </i>and <i>Kapkapiii</i>, featuring Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade, Jay Thakkar opened up about his journey, why he loves the movies and more.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i><strong>Here are the edited excerpts of our chat:</strong></i></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Q: Comedy requires timing and rhythm. What’s your process for finding the right beat in humorous scenes?</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>A: Comedy, to me, is a dance between spontaneity and precision. Having started my journey in 2004 as a child actor in comedy shows like Devrani Jethani and Gutur Gu, I learned early on that humor isn't just about delivering punchlines—it's about embodying the moment.&nbsp; In Gutur Gu, a silent comedy – every gesture, every pause, every expression carries weight.&nbsp; This taught me to listen—not just to dialogues, but to the rhythm of the scene, the energy of my co-actors, and the pulse of the audience.&nbsp; Over the years, I've realized that the most genuine laughs come from moments rooted in truth.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Q: Was there a particular scene or moment on set that stood out for you during the making of Bhool Chuk Maaf?</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>A: Honestly, Bhool Chuk Maaf felt like more than just a film—it felt like life coming full circle. I had worked with Rajkummar Rao way back in 2008 when I was just seven years old, in a film called Uss Din, where he played my father. And now, here I was, playing his sister’s boyfriend, Sushil. That reunion hit deep. During the shoot in Banaras, I had called my mom on set just for a short visit—and he remembered her instantly. Gearing for his big-screen release Bhool Chuk Maaf with Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, actor Jay Thakkar opened up about his love for comedy films and more.

Jay Thakkar is gearing up for the release of his next big-screen appearance in Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf. A romantic comedy set in a small town of India, the film takes a humorous look at a man who desperately wants to get married to the love of his life but gets stuck in a time loop, with the D-day never happening for him. Exploring comedy with Bhool Chuk Maaf and Kapkapiii, featuring Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade, Jay Thakkar opened up about his journey, why he loves the movies and more. Here are the edited excerpts of our chat: Q: Comedy requires timing and rhythm. What’s your process for finding the right beat in humorous scenes? A: Comedy, to me, is a dance between spontaneity and precision. Having started my journey in 2004 as a child actor in comedy shows like Devrani Jethani and Gutur Gu, I learned early on that humor isn't just about delivering punchlines—it's about embodying the moment. In Gutur Gu, a silent comedy – every gesture, every pause, every expression carries weight. This taught me to listen—not just to dialogues, but to the rhythm of the scene, the energy of my co-actors, and the pulse of the audience. Over the years, I've realized that the most genuine laughs come from moments rooted in truth. Q: Was there a particular scene or moment on set that stood out for you during the making of Bhool Chuk Maaf? A: Honestly, Bhool Chuk Maaf felt like more than just a film—it felt like life coming full circle. He touched her feet to take blessings and shared with her how much he admired my work in Gullak Season 4. Hearing Rajkummar Rao not just remember me, but praise me to my mother, was an overwhelming and unforgettable moment. It made me feel seen, validated, and truly respected for my craft. Another special aspect was how I was cast. Having already adapted the Banarasi dialect for my role in UP65, I could carry that authenticity into this film. Q: You also have another release on the same day as Bhool Chuk Maaf – horror comedy Kapkapiii. Any funny or spooky stories you would like to share? A: Kapkapiii was an absolute rollercoaster—a beautiful blend of chills, laughs, and lots of surprises, both on and off the set. One of the most memorable moments came during the shoot of a teaser scene. I had this quirky bit inside a toilet, where my character is flipping through an erotic magazine. The entire set froze—we thought we’d summoned something for real! Turns out, it was just a mischievous crew member pulling a prank. But the reactions were so real, I think some of that fear made it into the final take. Q: From Pavitra Rishta to Gullak 4, you've done both emotional and light-hearted roles. What type of character challenges you the most? Characters that dwell in the grey areas challenge me the most, where the character is neither wrong, nor right. Those who aren't strictly heroes or villains but are deeply human, with flaws, dreams, and contradictions. I am deeply inspired by Vijay Verma's character in Dahaad, Abhishek Bachchan's character in Breathe. Additionally, In Sony Liv's Adrishyam, playing a crazy maniac pyscho terrorist alongside Divyanka Tripathi helped me learn, experiment & perform a dark character Muzammil. Q: What is one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self—the one who walked into the sets of Gutur Gu for the first time? A: I'd tell that young boy: Embrace every moment, every challenge, every triumph. There will be times of doubt, times when the path seems uncertain, but trust in your passion. Let your love for the craft guide you, and never lose the joy that brought you here." Gutur Gu was more than just a show; it was the beginning of a lifelong journey, and I'd remind my younger self to cherish every step of it. Watch trailer of Bhool Chuk Maaf:

<p>Kashmir used to be the favourite location for the Bollywood Film Industry till the 1980s before the insurgency started. And after 30 long years, the Indian Film Industry is back in the Valley. The Jammu and Kashmir government has received more than 500 applications from filmmakers across the country for granting permission to shoot in the Valley. Over 150 permissions have been granted by the Jammu Kashmir government till now.</p>

<p>''The film industry in the country has had a great romance with Jammu and Kashmir, most of the films in the past were shot there. It was only for a brief period that people started going out looking for locations which were as beautiful which they could not find in the country, they had to travel abroad to go and shoot. Jammu and Kashmir provides the finest locations for the film shooting and recently the LG administration took an initiative and came out with a new film policy where many incentives are being given and a single window system is being provided. We have received a great response,"&nbsp;said Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary of Tourism.</p>

<p>Under the new Film Policy, the Jammu and Kashmir government has put the permission system under Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA). Winds of change : Bollywood returns to Kashmir after 32 years

<p>Filmmaker Vinil Mathews' latest 'Haseen Dillruba' begins on an intriguing note. A quiet bylane of Jwalapur in Haridwar is rocked by a blast one morning. Initial investigations seem to suggest that Rishabh aka Rishu has died at his home due to a cylinder blast. The cops suspect foul play and question Rishu's wife Rani - the only person who was around when the incident took place. They're also suspicious of Neel, a distant cousin of Rishu and Rani's clandestine lover.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Written by Kanika Dhillon, 'Haseen Dillruba' attempts to be an unconventional love story. Based on the theme of popular Hindi pulp fictions novels, the story uses the tropes of small towns in northern India to weave an intricate story of love, crime and passion.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A big-city girl 'settles' for a small town engineer who is head over heels in love with her. She thinks he is an average joe, even though he has a stable job in the state electricity board and dotes on her from the first day. He feels lucky and slightly nervous around his gorgeous wife. But the initial attraction wears off in almost a week for him and while she keeps trying to seduce him, he is unable to reciprocate in any way. Enter a new relative, an alpha man, who somehow convinces the rebel woman to enter the kitchen and woo him with good food- a quality that she lacks. There is sexual tension between the two and a torrid affair is inevitable. But will the husband know? Will she leave him for her lover? All these questions persist when the blast puts the wife in a spot- making her the prime suspect in the case.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While the film's first half is quirky and well-written, the second half, when the mystery slowly starts to unravel, appears rather stretched. The portions when Pannu's character revisits the past and how her and Rishu's story began- are well-enacted and even entertaining especially due to actress Yamini Das, who plays a shocked mother-in-law to a rather brazen daughter-in-law. Das is well-cast and in a limited part lights up the screen with her performance. &nbsp;</p>

<p><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lt_bDfnXKGM" title="YouTube video player" width="560"></iframe></p>

<p>Much like her previous films 'Kedarnath' and 'Mannmarziyaan', Dhillon makes the female character the most complicated one in 'Haseen Dillruba'. Rani is aware of her good looks, and the power she has on men. By her admission, she is 'homely' and domesticated, even though she is least interested in doing any household chores. A conflicted character, Rani is similar to Dhillon's Rumi from 'Mannmarziyaan'- both played by Taapsee Pannu who has by now perfected the art of playing such characters on screen. They are dishevelled at the slightest of the crisis, they think they have everything in control and crave male attention. Rani is flawed, rude and someone you will not want in your life and yet Rishu falls head over heels in love.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Among the men, Rishu (Vikrant Massey) - much like Rani - is a complicated character. He looks like a naive young man who easily falls hard in love but he has his own quirks which are borderline toxic.</p>

<p>Perhaps the most linear character is that of Neel (Harshwardhan Rane) even though he is projected as a mysterious sexy lover who knows how to woo a bored housewife. Both Massey and Rane are good in their respective parts even though they play secondary characters to Pannu, they hold their own. Massey especially is well-cast as the small-town do-gooder Rishu who doesn't know how to be around a gorgeous, upfront woman like Rani.</p>

<p>What starts off as an interesting - even though slightly predictable - love story set in a small town, soon turns dark. As Rani sits at the police station narrating her story to Inspector Rawat, she often borrows lines from her favourite author Dinesh Gupta's pulp fiction novels and describes her definition of love, which she feels is incomplete without a bit of sacrifice. But the references to books that both Rani and Rishu love are also sketchy- only borrowing heavily during the climax.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A tale of crime and passion should ideally be high on suspense. It should keep the viewer hooked till the end but 'Haseena Dillruba' falters at every step as the story slowly unravels. There is a lack of chemistry between the leads and it takes time to accept their story of passion and love. The suspense never builds up. The character development of Rani and Rishu is slightly illogical. And in the name of passion and true love, a lot of toxicity is belted out where the woman seems to be okay at being tortured by her husband just because she has cheated on him.<br />
&nbsp;<br />
The climax is underwhelming and you end up rolling your eyes a bit too much towards the end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>'Haseen Dillruba' excites the viewer only in parts and those are not related to the murder mystery that it sets out to be.&nbsp;</p>

<p>'Haseen Dillruba' is streaming on Netflix.&nbsp;</p>

Bollywood movies and their tryst with fringe groups

<p>The silver screen was the term that described the cinema experience in the dark of a cinema hall. The two people who conceived and executed this magic were the writer and the director. A writer dreamt up a story and its background, as in where it all happened, and the director executed those dreams of the writer. But, the one who really made it possible for the two was the art director.<br />
<br />
The art director created a location, and the ambiance the writer imagined, in a studio set measuring just a few hundred square meters. However huge it may be, the art director made you believe that what you were watching on screen was taking place in Shimla or on the Hooghly River in Bengal or a palatial bungalow of a rich man, or even a cruise liner or a warship! The breed called art directors could get into the writer`s mind.<br />
<br />
There was a popular trend of mythological and fantasy films. Gods flew under a blue sky on their vehicle of preference, a bird or a mammal or an animal or Lord Maruti carrying a mountain on his little finger or a Sheikh traveling on the magic carpet. This was sheer magic for a certain class of audience, though for such films, the art director was incomplete without the cinematographer. No computer special effects in those days, not even fancy cameras. It was sheer mastery over the medium.<br />
<br />
In the film "Tere Ghar Ke Saamne" you watched Dev Anand singing "Tu kahan yeh bata" in search of his lady love, Nutan, on some hill station on his scooter. You would believe it to be a hill station though it would really be a set in a Mumbai studio.<br />
<br />
Watching Rajesh Khanna sing "Chingari koi bhadke" to Sharmila Tagore in a boat over the Hooghly river, it is so convincing you would not be convinced if told that it was shot in a suburban studio of Mumbai.<br />
<br />
There are numerous such examples where the art department of a studio showed its mastery. Those were the days of heavy cameras and other equipment, and the idea of going on actual locations was not very conducive to filmmaking. Also, there was the problem of getting various permissions to shoot on public roads, besides getting police protection to control crowds that thronged shooting sites. Yet, despite all these, one may have noticed huge crowds in a film sequence, which the maker could not avoid. In those days, if a filmmaker ventured out, it would be at some crowd-free location like Juhu Beach or Powai Lake to shoot songs or at Chena Creek near Thane for an action sequence.<br />
<br />
Deserted areas were much preferred and Worli Sea Face, Haji Ali Circle, Asiatic Library were the popular locations on a Sunday or at night for shoots.<br />
<br />
For a Bombayite, watching these sites in old films is a nostalgia trip. Especially, comparing them to their present state.<br />
<br />
When the equipment got lighter and more manageable, and with the arrival of the new breed of directors, much inspired from Hollywood films, the film shootings moved out to what was described as `actual locations`. Directors started scouting for virgin locations never seen on screen and, for many Mumbai folk, not seen in the real life either! The advent of the Steadicam camera, which could be carried by the cinematographer, made sequences like following or chasing a character easier.<br />
<br />
The filmmakers had set ideas for establishing the city of the story`s origin. For a Mumbai-based film, the Gateway of India, Mumbai Central or Victoria Terminus stations (renamed CSMT after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj). Delhi used to be established by India Gate, which has now been replaced by the Metro and the huge Maruti idol at Karol Bagh, and Howrah Bridge represents Kolkata.<br />
<br />
Come 1980s, most directors preferred actual locations for all scenes save for songs. A director may have shot his film in a slum or a bungalow, but he had the freedom to shoot the songs anywhere on earth. There were makers like Raj Kapoor and Yash Chopra who made exceptions for their songs and chose colourful orchards abroad.<br />
<br />
Kashmir was once the favoured location for a film to depict romance and to shoot songs. The changing situation in the eighties and the nineties closed that option. Producers shifted their sight to locations like Vrindavan Gardens in Mysore and the hill station of Ooty. However, Vrindavan Gardens looked the same in all films, so had a limited utility.<br />
<br />
Ooty was witness to a number of films. But the South had its own regional film industries and the treatment the Hindi makers (North film industry, as they identified it) faced were many -- such as no cooperation and cost discrimination when it came to local staff and facilities. Probably, why the Hindi makers looked towards foreign countries. Also, by that time, some European countries had started offering facilities and subsidies with the idea of seeking exposure to their country.<br />
<br />
Not that Hindi films were not shot abroad. Producer Pramod Chakravorty made "Love In Tokyo" in 1966 while Pachhi made "Around The World" and Shakti Samanta made "An Evening In Paris", both in 1967. These were followed by Ramanand Sagar`s "Ankhen" in 1968 and another Pachhi film, "International Crook", in 1974. While both the films by Pachhi failed, the other three were big successes. They had plausible themes.<br />
<br />
The trend did not last long since the nation was short on foreign reserves and there was a limit to what could be spent abroad. There was a law that a business could spend only a certain percentage of its foreign earnings abroad. The only foreign earning the producers had was through the sale of overseas rights. And that too the buyer operated from India, not abroad.<br />
<br />
Then the economy opened up and so did the floodgates for shooting abroad. Every Tom, Dick and Harry travelled abroad to shoot a film even if the film had no such story or justification. There were more examples of such causeless ventures than those that merited to be shot abroad (actually speaking, none did).<br />
<br />
I remember one such film where Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are in the US on some bridge over a river, contemplating suicide. Somehow, the attempt fails and before the tendency to die reoccurs, both fall in love! Now, this could have been done on any of the hundreds of bridges in India with the same routine being followed. This is just one example, there are many.<br />
<br />
Then, there was a phase of spy films. Indian actors playing RAW agents went on a rampage in Europe and the Middle East in a kind of free run that Ian Fleming`s 007 paled in comparison! Some stories were so convoluted that an Indian actor would lead a police force abroad with locals as subordinates!!<br />
<br />
Now, the makers are back to terra firma, the homeland, though this year there has been very little shooting activity. But, that combined creativity spurting from the triumvirate of writer-director-art director has been taken over by the action composer and the computer-generated special effects.<br />
<br />
Now, the films are made more on a computer desk than they are made on studio sets!<br />
<br />

The silver screen was the term that described the cinema experience in the dark of a cinema hall. The two people who conceived and executed this magic were the writer and the director. A writer dreamt up a story and its background, as in where it all happened, and the director executed those dreams of the writer. But, the one who really made it possible for the two was the art director. The art director created a location, and the ambiance the writer imagined, in a studio set measuring just a few hundred square meters. <p>In Kunal Kohli's new film 'Lahore Confidential', Richa Chadha plays an Indian Spy who is sent to Pakistan to bust a terror plot. The film which is a ZEE5 original is a thrilling love story and created by India's most prolific crime writer S Hussain Zaidi.<br />
<br />
The atmospheric and eerie trailer which was released on Thursday revolves around a humble, divorced Indian woman named Ananya and amidst her mundane-routine life, she finds herself on a secret intelligence duty in Pakistan. But her love for Urdu literature will have her falling in love that will eventually put them in a tug of war with each other. A contemporary, elegant and thrilling love story that is based in Pakistan and has a strong sense of patriotism and thrill entangled with old school romance. But the question is, will she do whatever it takes for the love of her country?</p>

<br />
Commenting on his film, director Kunal Kohli said, "In an OTT space, we hardly see spy thrillers with a romantic backdrop, hence Lahore Confidential will definitely be a refreshing watch for the viewers and I hope the element of classic romance will sweep everyone off their feet. We have shot the film during the lockdown and it’s exciting to have the trailer dropped too. The trailer introduces the audience to the characters and sets forth its dramatic premise. The film builds intrigue throughout its narrative and the background score establishes the spy-thriller tonality (you will see this in the trailer too)."<br />
<br />
Richa Chadda shares, “The film is a romantic spy thriller with a classic romantic backdrop. It has lot of high octane scenes and settles the dust at various intervals as well. Working with Kunal was extremely refreshing, he defiantly brings the characters to life and with its contemporary style, he makes us look like characters right out of a classic novel. I hope audience enjoy the trailer and the film which premieres on 11th December on ZEE5.”<br />

<p>Earlier on October 22, Pooja had shared that Faraaz was showing signs of improvement.<br />
<br />
"Gratitude to all you truly special, generous people who spread the word &amp; contributed towards the medical treatment of #FaraazKhan Am told he is showing improvement &amp; that the family managed to raise Rs 14,45,747 of Rs 25,00,000 as of today. Let`s keep this going," she tweeted while thanking contributors.<br />
<br />
In October it was revealed that Faraaz, who had appeared in films like 'Fareb', 'Mehndi' among others, had suffered three consecutive seizures owing to a herpes infection in his brain. The infection had spread to his chest and he had evenm developed pneumonia. He was battling for his life in a hospital in Bengaluru.<br />
<br />
The family had started a fundraiser for the actor.<br />
<br />
"Faraaz was admitted to the emergency ward of Vikram hospital where we found out that he suffered three consecutive seizures due to a herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest. Besides, while he suffered from these seizures, he swallowed the mucus and saliva of his cough which entered his lungs and caused pneumonia," the family had said in the statement then.<br />

Wishing you all a very Happy International Yoga Day. Today I’ve shared a personal ritual with you all. I've been chanting the Shanti Mantra after every yoga session, because it helps me tell the Universe, our guiding force in nature... that I surrender to the will of nature. I accept that I don't know it all and I want to be drawn towards a better existence. I understand how limited my knowledge is of my own being and ask to be connected to all elements of nature in the way that humans were meant to be. Today, I pledge to work on bettering myself every day, so I can be of service to all in this lifetime, how I was intended to be. Ever since the news of Sushant Singh Rajput's death broke, the internet has been buzzing with speculations about what led to his untimely death. Most have brought in the nepotism angle and accused prominent filmmakers of never offering films to Rajput and giving preference to star-kids over real talent. Rohini Iyer, close friend, and ex-manager of Rajput has now weighed in on the controversy around his death and urged people to celebrate his life and talent instead of giving opinions on him. In an emotional note shared on Instagram, Iyer wrote, "If you want to talk about him, celebrate his life. It was larger than life like the movies he aspired to make. Celebrate his work. He put his heart and soul into his craft, he was bothered more about research than makeup" she wrote. "He was about quality, not vanity. He was a bright star. That`s why he shined sheer magic. Celebrate his brilliance. He thrived for excellence, mediocrity affected him. He rejected anything conventional as easily as he rejected godfathers and big-ticket films that he didn`t believe in," she added. He didn’t take calls of the high and mighty if he didn’t want to . He didn’t care about money, I’ve seen him return pay checks worth crores . If he wanted to switch his phone off and go farming or fishing , he would . He broke every rule and burnt bridges sometimes just to light his way . Cos frankly my dear he didn’t give a damn . He was my best friend , my special son. He was my Mozart. He’s given me music , culture , art , stars , poetry, books and most importantly , memories. Not this manufactured version the peddlers are trying to sell. Maybe he was too good for all of you . He was pure diamond . Maybe you all didn’t recognise that cos you are only used to plastic . You didn’t deserve him. He was intelligent beyond belief and some of you can barely read. And you know what ? He didn’t care about all of you or your dumb opinions then . He won’t care any less now . He didn`t care about money, I`ve seen him return paychecks worth crores. If he wanted to switch his phone off and go farming or fishing, he would," the ex-manager said. "He broke every rule and burnt bridges sometimes just to light his way. Cos frankly my dear he didn`t give a damn. He was my best friend, my special son. He was my Mozart," she added. In a separate post, Iyer also described how Rajput was interested in the meaningful aspects of life beyond being in the 100 crore club of the cinema."He hated fake friends, phone calls, and small talk. He rejected your parties, you didn`t shun him. He rejected your lobbies. He didn`t need camps, he had his own kingdom. He was a fighter. He made his own place in the sun," she wrote. View this post on Instagram This has to be said . My best friend is no more , I still have a bloody hard time accepting that and whenever I check social media to check up on news on him, I read fiction and instead of finding people online , i see peddlers . Peddlers pushing their agendas to promote themselves and their causes . Every single person who wants their two bit fame has an opinion on his life . Firstly, he didn’t give a fuck about fame or your opinions. He didn’t care about these people who are busy posting about not being in touch with him. For the record, he didn’t care about being in touch. He hated fake friends, phone calls and small talk. He rejected your parties, you didn’t shun him. He rejected your lobbies . He didnt need camps, he had his own kingdom. He was a fighter . He made his own place in the sun. He was an outsider and he never cared about being a insider . That’s because he had a life beyond films. The industry was a small part of his life , he had many worlds beyond that . He didn’t give a shit about success . He never failed . He has given more super hits than any of his other contemporaries . He just didn’t care about the 100 crore club. He didn’t want to belong to any club or be part of the rat race . He didn’t care about awards . He walked out of an award function just cos he got bored . This was even before they announced his best actor award . You had to be a lot more interesting than a bloody trophy to hold his attention. He was a force of nature. His accomplishments are multifold. He was as simple as quantum physics . He was a crazy genius. He read Sartre and Nietzsche , he studied astronomy and stoicism , he wrote poetry , played the guitar , wrote with his left and right hand. He cared about saving the planet , the world , about going to Mars, he invested in charities , in science projects and innovations that were beyond your comprehension . So please don’t try to make sense of him or reduce his talent to serve your mere agenda . A post shared by Rohini iyer (@rohiniyer) on Jun 16, 2020 at 5:55pm PDT × "He never failed.
