Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri said that his team should focus on winning record-breaking eighth straight Serie A title and leave behind the disappointment of losing to Ajax in the Champions League.

"Luckily tomorrow we have the chance to win the title, and we must do it tomorrow. We need to get over the disappointment of the elimination in the Champions League," said Allegri in a press conference.

"We need to accept that and move on, because we can't go back in time and we can't change the score. Looking for justifications or alibis is just stuff for those who can never win," Allegri added.

Juventus need just a draw at home against Fiorentina on Saturday to win the title with five matches to spare.

On Cristiano Ronaldo, Allegri said, "I always said that Ronaldo's arrival was not like math, Juventus plus Ronaldo wasn't necessarily the Champions League title. Football is not an exact science."

The Bianconeri are 17 points ahead of Napoli and they also have a better head-to-head record.

Cristiano Ronaldo is unlikely to be rested again after sitting out the loss at Spal last weekend.
