Vadra also stated that he strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack and stood with India.
Taking to Facebook, he wrote in a post, "Because my intentions have been misinterpreted, I understand it is my responsibility to clarify them... I am committed to clarifying myself with honesty, transparency, and respect. I decided to wait in silence for a few days, but this should not be construed as silence, indifference, or lack of patriotism."
"In fact, it is because of my deep love for my country, my deep respect for truth and my commitment to dedication that I took the time to reflect before speaking."

Kulgam Police, in a coordinated operation with the Army and CRPF, arrested two terrorist associates and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in south Kashmir's Kulgam district.
According to an official release, during a routine checkpoint established at Matalhama Chowk Thokerpora, Qaimoh, two individuals were intercepted and subsequently arrested. They have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Salam Bhat, and Mohd Ismail Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, both residents of Thokerpora, Qaimoh.
Upon their search, security forces recovered two pistols, two pistol magazines, and 25 rounds of pistol ammunition from their possession. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Qaimoh, and an investigation has been launched to probe further.

Members of the Indian diaspora in France gathered in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower here to condemn Pakistan for "harbouring and supporting terror activities". They expressed solidarity with the victims of the recent brutal terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam in which 26 tourists were killed, and several others were injured.
The Indian diaspora organised the mass protest on Sunday.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, on Monday (Apr 28), strongly hit out at Congress over controversial remarks regarding the Pahalgam terror attack made by some of its leaders.
"I will keep the statements of some of the leaders in front of you: Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has said 'war is not necessary,' on 26 April, he said we do not have the&nbsp; right to war we should take strong steps against it, and Pakistan is playing it all. Whatever Congress says, Pakistan's generals use that," Prasad said.
"Another leader, RV Timapur, said that the terrorists did not ask for the religion of the victims," he added.
He then recalled his party's stance during the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack, where they were directed to unequivocally support the government led by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
"Even Congress has said that they are with every step of the government, this is a sign of a mature democracy, that when the country is in trouble, we should all should stand up. I remember when 26/11 happened, I had strict instructions from the party that I should take only one line, 'that we are with the government', even during an interview on an international channel, I had said this is not the time to settle political scores," Prasad said.
"Looking at the situation of the country right now, I did not expect to do a PC on it, because it is being handled under strategic security. People are angry with the unfortunate incident in Pahalgam, PM has spoken in Bihar and in Mann ki Baat that there will be strict investigation on terrorists," he added.
"I had expected something similar from Congress, we listened to them, but some bigger leaders of Congress are saying such things, why are they saying it? And what is their agenda? Waddetiwar, questioning if the terrorists had "the time" to ask tourists their religion, challenged the accounts of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.&nbsp;
"The government should take responsibility for the Pahalgam terrorist attack. They (the government) are saying that terrorists killed people after asking them (about their religion). Do terrorists have time for all this?... Some people say that this did not happen. Terrorists have no caste or religion. Identify those responsible and take appropriate action. This is the sentiment of the country," Waddetiwar said.
Siddaramiah, on the other hand, came under fire for his comments stating that he was not in favour of war with Pakistan, citing "security lapse" in the Pahalgam terrorist attack that killed 26 people.
"There has been a security lapse in this incident. We are not in favour of war. Steps should be taken to tighten security measures in the Kashmir region. The central government should increase security to ensure peace in Kashmir," he said on Saturday (Apr 26).
He later clarified his stance, emphasising that his "not in favour of war" statement "never meant that we should not go to war".&nbsp;
"I said that it (war) is inevitable, but it must be done with Pakistan, but I did not say that there should be no war. It is the responsibility of the central government to provide security, 26 people died in the incident... I said there should not be a war immediately..." Siddaramiah said.

The closure can disrupt international flights by adding up to at least 90 minutes of flying time from Northern India to Europe, the US, and Canada. It would also raise the flight cost due to increased fuel requirements for a longer route.
When asked whether the government was looking to map alternate routes, Naidu said, &ldquo;There is (an alternate route), technically speaking, they can go up north and take a route, which usually the eastern side, especially China and all used to go to Europe and America. But the challenge there is that it&rsquo;s a high-altitude route, you have to go over the Himalayas and then enter that region. So again, the technical capability of the aircraft, the pilots and the crew comes into picture.&rdquo;

<h2>'Have to find a safer route'</h2>
&ldquo;No matter any decision that you take in aviation, you can&rsquo;t ignore safety. Even if it takes a little longer, you have to find a safer route. So, we are still looking for options,&rdquo; he added, saying that the government was assessing the situation.
&ldquo;We already sat with the airlines, took their feedback, and our aim is to ensure that any decision taken does not negatively impact the passenger or compromise safety standards,&rdquo; Naidu said.

This is not the first time Pakistan has closed its airspace. In 2019, Pakistan made a similar move that severely affected all Indian and foreign airlines. However, this time the airspace is open for foreign carriers.
On providing financial assistance to the airlines, Naidu said, &ldquo;While there are currently no plans for direct financial assistance or viability gap funding for the airlines, the ministry is closely analysing potential long-term effects on international travel routes,&rdquo; the minister said. &ldquo;Let us get to a solution from the passenger&rsquo;s side first,&rdquo; he added.
The minister said that no decisions have been taken yet on possible restrictions against Pakistani aircraft. &ldquo;Such discussions would need to take place at a higher diplomatic and strategic level,&rdquo; Naidu said.

<h2>&lsquo;We received threats&rsquo;</h2>
Not only this, but Afridi also claimed that the Pakistan cricket team received death threats during their visit to India for the 2016 T20 World Cup.&nbsp;
"We received so many threats before travelling to India. During the 2016 T20 World Cup, I was the captain, and I had no clue whether we would go or not,&rdquo; Afridi said.&nbsp;
Speaking on the cricketing relations between both countries, Afridi said Pakistan had tried improving their relationship with its arch-rivals. This weekend turned harrowing for me all thanks to ride-hailing app UBER. On Saturday at 4:30 am IST I got an alert on my mobile stating that my trip had been verified and a pin has been generated. I was asleep and the alert message was read with sleepy eyes. <o:p></o:p>
Confused at seeing the message, I tapped on the &lsquo;pin&rsquo; thinking if I had a booked a ride on UBER by mistake or in sleep. The message redirected me to UBER login page and asked me to login with my phone number. Half asleep I fed in the number and turned off the phone and got back to sleep. <o:p></o:p>
Hours later, around 11 am, I got a call from a UBER&nbsp;driver stating that my Intercity ride for Punjab had been booked and he was waiting at the pick-up location. Again, confused by the call, I went on my UBER app to check if I had booked any ride or if there was a scheduled trip booked through my ID. I found none.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>
Since that call on Saturday morning, I received at least 40 calls through the weekend. Some calls came at 1:30 or 2:30 am at night, some at 5 am in the morning. Of the 40 calls &ndash; I answered at least 10, politely refusing the drivers that I had not booked any ride and that there was some mistake or confusion. Some believed me, some were baffled much like me stating that the app only shows the rider&rsquo;s phone number. <o:p></o:p>

Meanwhile, tired of receiving unending calls, I tried logging out of UBER app on my phone but alas, the app didn&rsquo;t let me. I logged out of my app, reinstalled, logged in again, tried to deactivate my account at UBER&nbsp;and eventually deleted the app but the phone didn&rsquo;t stop buzzing through the weekend. <o:p></o:p>
The pick-up location varied. From one of ever-stretching Delhi to another except my location. Most drivers I spoke to stated that the drops were Intercity.<o:p></o:p>
Since Saturday, I tried calling UBER&nbsp;customer care but to no avail. I finally reached out on X and on DM they said they are looking into the matter. If only that were true.<o:p></o:p>

Early Monday morning I got a call from the admin in my office claiming that Rs 4.6 lakhs were charged on my corporate account on UBER. Let that sink in.<o:p></o:p>
A little flashback here: I had a company account linked to my UBER APP in 2018. I would only use that account when I had to go for official work. I stopped using that account post-pandemic, but the account was not removed from my app.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>
No trip had been billed to the company for the last 2 years until Saturday. Further inquest revealed that the trips were booked and charged for a hefty Rs. 4,000 to 8,000 for a distance of 2 km or less. <o:p></o:p>
While the company has now blocked my number on the app and raised it to UBER, I am yet to hear from the cab company. <o:p></o:p>
I have obviously shared my ordeal on social media to make others aware of the new scam. I have also lodged an official complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell. Fortunately, no money has been debited from the company&rsquo;s account or mine, but the whole experience has left a bitter aftertaste.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>

My number is shared widely for work, but this incident has made me rethink if it is a good idea to share numbers. There is clearly a breach of privacy and that too from an app like UBER where someone has taken my number and now using it nonstop to harass. <o:p></o:p>Forget media personnel, in the age of digitization, where everything is available at the tap of an app and where all your accounts are linked to phone numbers and payment approvals are just an OTP away, we are all at huge risk of financial frauds such as this. <o:p></o:p>
UBER&nbsp;&ndash; an internationally acclaimed service provider app - has clear loopholes in the system, where all our numbers and personal information are just a few clicks away from a leak. It is that easy to now crack the code even of an app of international repute like UBER. &nbsp;With no customer care in place, riders are left in the lurch when such a situation arises.<o:p></o:p>

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in a powerful speech in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, expressed his deep condolences over the recent Pahalgam terror attack that shook the entire nation.&nbsp;
During his address, Abdullah stated that the attack not only leaves permanent scars on the region but the entire country.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir witnessed an attack on such a large scale after almost 21 years.
"This incident affected the entire country. We have seen many such attacks in the past... An attack of such a large scale has been carried out after 21 years in Baisaran... I did not know how to apologise to the families of the deceased... Being the host, it was my duty to send the tourists back safely. I couldn't do it. I do not have the words to seek an apology," Abdullah said.
"Neither of us supports this attack. This attack has hollowed us. We are trying to find a ray of light in this... In the last 26 years, I have never seen people come out to protest against an attack like this," he said.
The National Conference leader said that the entire Kashmir is united against the attack, and the protests against the act can be marked as the "beginning of the end of militancy and terrorism" in the Valley.
"Militancy and terrorism will end when people will support us. This is the beginning of that... We should not say or show anything which harms this movement that has arisen... We can control militancy using guns, it will end only when people support us. And now it seems people are reaching that point," the J&amp;K CM said.
<h2>'Will not use this moment to demand statehood'</h2>
Despite pursuing the goal of statehood for months, at this sensitive time, he would refrain from doing so and prioritise the needs of people over political demands.

The timing of the Rafale M deal is crucial. Pakistan&rsquo;s support for terrorism, combined with its growing military ties with China, keeps India on high alert. China&rsquo;s expanding naval presence in the Indian Ocean, with three operational aircraft carriers, adds another challenge. The Rafale M jets will not only counter Pakistan&rsquo;s provocations but also show China that India is serious about protecting its maritime interests. But has the government made a mistake by delaying this deal? The Rafale M acquisition process began in 2017 under the Multi-Role Carrier Borne Fighter program, with trials in Goa comparing the Rafale M to Boeing&rsquo;s F/A-18 Super Hornet. The Navy chose the Rafale M for its technical superiority and compatibility with the IAF&rsquo;s Rafale fleet. However, bureaucratic hurdles and tough price negotiations slowed things down. The Cabinet Committee on Security approved the deal on April 9, 2025, but it took years to reach this point. Critics argue that faster action could have had these jets operational by now, addressing the Navy&rsquo;s shortage of carrier-based fighters. The MiG-29K fleet, troubled by technical issues and crashes, has left a gap in our naval airpower. A quicker deal could have ensured India was better prepared for the current tensions with Pakistan.
Imagine if the Rafale M jets were already in service. With 26 jets deployed on INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya, alongside the IAF&rsquo;s 36 single-seat and twin-seat Rafale jets, India&rsquo;s air and naval power would be unmatched in the region. After the Pahalgam attack, these jets could have patrolled the Arabian Sea, conducted reconnaissance, and responded swiftly to any aggression. Their ability to carry nuclear-capable weapons would have sent a strong message to Pakistan, discouraging any misadventure. The combined might of all Rafale variants would have boosted the morale of our forces and the nation, showing India&rsquo;s readiness to defend itself. A fully operational Rafale fleet could have made Pakistan think twice before escalating tensions, potentially preventing further provocations.
Despite the delay, the government deserves credit for securing this deal at a reduced cost through tough negotiations. The Rs 63,000 crore package includes weapons, simulators, training, and logistics support. Aligned with &ldquo;Make in India,&rdquo; Dassault may establish a final assembly line in India for future orders, creating jobs and boosting defense manufacturing. The government&rsquo;s push to finalise the deal after the Pahalgam attack shows its focus on national security. While the first Rafale M jets won&rsquo;t arrive until late 2028, with full delivery by 2031, their strategic impact will be massive. The combination of single-seat, twin-seat, and naval Rafale jets ensures India&rsquo;s military is future-ready.

Pahalgam attack: Indian diaspora protests in London, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Melbourne and other cities across globe

India and France are set to sign a Rs 63,000 crore deal for 26 Rafale Marine combat aircraft on Monday in Delhi, defence officials said.
Officials from the Indian Defence Ministry and the French Ambassador to India will represent the two sides at the signing event. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh is likely to represent the Indian side, while the French and Indian defence ministers are expected to attend remotely, sources said.
Earlier, the French Defence Minister was scheduled to attend the signing in person but had to cancel his visit due to personal reasons.
The Cabinet Committee on Security had cleared the deal earlier this month.
