We want the waiver for the Chabahar port project to continue. One side Pakistan closes the border, other side Americans put sanctions on the new route. That is why the sanction waiver should continue.” Among the concrete steps announced: the imminent launch of dedicated air cargo corridors linking Kabul with Delhi and Amritsar. Starting immediately, Afghan exports, primarily pomegranates, almonds, and saffron, will fly to Delhi for $1 per kilogram on Ariana Afghan Airlines cargo flights, while Indian imports to Afghanistan will cost just 80 cents per kilogram.&nbsp;Other initiatives include establishing dry ports in Nimroz province, regular shipping lines from Chabahar, simplified customs at India’s Nhava Sheva port, faster business visas for Afghan traders, and joint investments in pharmaceuticals, cold storage, fruit processing, industrial parks, and small-enterprise centers. During a five-day visit that began Wednesday, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, held talks with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Minister of State for Commerce Jitin Prasada. The two sides agreed to establish trade attaché offices in New Delhi and Kabul, reactivate a dormant joint trade working group, and set up a new joint chamber of commerce. “Vast opportunities for Indian investors in Afghanistan, and we have created an enabling environment to come and invest in Afghanistan,” Azizi told Indian business leaders at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI). “It will be a good opportunity to explore opportunities in the mining, industry, agriculture sector. Huge opportunities in Afghanistan.” He specifically invited investment in mining, pharmaceuticals, rice milling, and textiles. “We would like to develop Afghanistan and make Afghan industries self-sufficient,” he added. “Any trader, industrialist who wants to come, we will provide full support. We will give all possible facilities in Afghanistan.” In a remarkable overture, Azizi extended an invitation to Afghanistan’s Sikh and Hindu communities to come back to the country and help rebuild it. “We invite them to come to Afghanistan, and they have to come, we fully support it,” he said. The visit, the second by Afghanistan's Islamic Emirate govt to India in a month, comes as Kabul pivots sharply away from Pakistan. Ties have deteriorated after Pakistan launched an unprovoked attack on Kabul. Since then the Torkham border crossing remains closed. That has prompted Afghanistan to increase trade with Iran, India. Trade with Iran via the Chabahar port, developed with Indian assistance, has surged past $1.6 billion in the past six months, eclipsing volumes with Pakistan. “Since the Pakistan border is closed, our seniors ordered us to look for new routes,” Azizi said. “Chabahar port should continue. We want the waiver for the Chabahar port project to continue. One side Pakistan closes the border, other side Americans put sanctions on the new route. That is why the sanction waiver should continue.” Among the concrete steps announced: the imminent launch of dedicated air cargo corridors linking Kabul with Delhi and Amritsar. Starting immediately, Afghan exports, primarily pomegranates, almonds, and saffron, will fly to Delhi for $1 per kilogram on Ariana Afghan Airlines cargo flights, while Indian imports to Afghanistan will cost just 80 cents per kilogram. Those who would like to invest in Afghanistan, in the pharma sector, want to present in hospitals—we are at your disposal and full support.” Azizi repeatedly invoked India’s humanitarian assistance after the 2021 takeover, when Washington froze billions in Afghan central-bank assets. “India sent wheat, other things when the US froze the funds of Afghanistan,” he said. “This is brotherhood.” The warming ties mark a pragmatic shift for New Delhi, which has cautiously expanded engagement with Islamic Emirate Govt in Kabul without granting formal recognition. A class 11 student from a private school in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, died in an alleged suicide, with a note alleging harassment by her teacher, police reported on Friday (November 21). According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Aarti Singh, the 17-year-old was found hanging at her residence on November 16. A handwritten message was recovered from her notebook during the investigation. In the note, she accused a teacher of physically mistreating her, saying that he would hit her while gripping her hand and force her to try to open his tightly closed fist. She also alleged that he pushed a pen between her fingers as a form of punishment. The teen further wrote that the teacher would often hold her hand casually while she was seated, remarking about how cold his hand felt. Her family said she behaved normally at home and suspect she was “tortured” at school. They have demanded that authorities examine her call records and probe issues related to the school environment. ASP Singh said that all angles are being investigated to determine what led to the tragedy. She was seen shouting multiple times and said things that 'shocked the entire class'," read the report.The Board has termed the incident as a “serious violation" of safety and mental-well-being guidelines that schools are strictly supposed to follow.The bullying included verbal abuse with sexual references that was too much for the girl to handle, revealed the investigation of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) into the suicide of Amaira Kumar Meena - on November 1 at Neerja Modi School.&nbsp;The girls parents alleged she was bullied, teased and verbally abused with "sexual connotations" and her complaints to the school authorities were never headed to.&nbsp;Basic child protection measures like recording the complaints, involving trained counsellors, and alerting senior staff was never taken care of.<h2>Immediate Cause Behind Suicide</h2>According to the report problem started when a group of boys wrote something on a digital slate at around 11 am. Amaira looked &nbsp;"puzzled and surprised" and even looked embarrassed in the CCTV footage. She could be seen asking her classmates to stop writing and delete the content on the slate. This probably was the triggering point for the extreme step that Amaira took<h2>Explanation Sought From School</h2>Meanwhile, the police has prima facie has termed the incident a suicide, however CCTV footage is being examined to piece together the sequence of events.&nbsp;The child was the only offspring of her parents.&nbsp;An explanation has been sought from the school authorities regarding the findings that has come up in the investigations of the board.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

The girls parents alleged she was bullied, teased and verbally abused with "sexual connotations" and her complaints to the school authorities were never headed to. Basic child protection measures like recording the complaints, involving trained counsellors, and alerting senior staff was never taken care of. Immediate Cause Behind Suicide According to the report problem started when a group of boys wrote something on a digital slate at around 11 am. Amaira looked "puzzled and surprised" and even looked embarrassed in the CCTV footage. She could be seen asking her classmates to stop writing and delete the content on the slate. This probably was the triggering point for the extreme step that Amaira took Explanation Sought From School Meanwhile, the police has prima facie has termed the incident a suicide, however CCTV footage is being examined to piece together the sequence of events. India and Israel signed the terms of reference (ToR) on Thursday to formally launch negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA), Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said. The signing of the ToR is a boost for India’s trade outreach and the India-Israel bilateral relationship. The terms of reference include market access for goods by eliminating tariff and non-tariff barriers, investment facilitation, simplification of customs procedures, increasing cooperation for innovation and technology transfer, and easing norms to promote trade in services. “We have signed the ToRs today. Now we will soon finalise the dates for starting the negotiations for that,” Goyal, who is leading a 60-member business delegation to Israel, told reporters. He will meet leaders and businesses to discuss ways to boost bilateral trade and investments. Goyal said the proposed trade agreement will cover market access and liberalisation of trade, progressively eliminate tariff barriers, and reduce non-tariff barriers by fast-tracking approvals and market access.
