Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday attacked the Central government over the Rafale deal and called it "globalised corruption".

Gandhi, on Thursday, asked what was the "deal" between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and industrialist Anil Ambani. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley retorted accusing the Congress chief of resorting to falsehood.

"Globalised corruption. This #Rafale aircraft really does fly far and fast! It's also going to drop some big bunker buster bombs in the next couple of weeks," Gandhi tweeted on Friday before leaving for his Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

"Modi Ji please tell Anil, there is a big problem in France," Gandhi stated.

The Congress president had also accused PM Modi of "lying" over the Rafale fighter jet contract.

Gandhi had previously pressed for a JPC probe at a press conference, saying that the country wants to know about the "deal between PM Modi and industrialist Anil Ambani".

Meanwhile, Anil Ambani has denied all charges levelled against him by the Congress and its chief Rahul Gandhi.

Ambani has also accused the Oppositionof making "false statements".

In a letter to Rahul Gandhi, Ambani had reportedly explained the deal and slapped defamation notices on a number of Congress leaders urging them not to make "false" statements.
