Prajwal Revanna case: Court remands Hassan MP to six-day police custody till June 6

A Bengaluru court on Friday (May 31)remanded Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna to six days police custody in the sexual assault case. A Special Investigation Team (SIT)probing theallegations against Revanna earlierhad sought his custody in the first FIR registered against him in Holenarasipura.

Although the SIT had requested the court to grant them 15 days ofRevanna's custody.

Earlier, the Hassan MP was brought to Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital in Bengaluru for a medical examination.

Revanna was arrested in early hours of Friday upon his landing at the Bengaluru airport from Germany.

The JD(S) MP's lawyers would be permitted to speak with him every day between 9:30 and 10:30 am local time, the court ruled.

Mother of Prajwal Revanna, Bhavani Revanna, on Friday got a major setback as her anticipatory bail plea was rejected in Mysuru Kidnapping case. The SIT will now question her in connection with the case on June 1. The SIT may arrest her anytime now.
