A local Hyderabad court has convicted two of the men accused of carrying out the 2007 Hyderabad twin blasts case while acquitting two others.

Judgement on a fifth accused will be passed on Monday.

The men were not brought to court for security reasons. Their judgements were delivered via video conferencing. The men are being held inCherlapalli Central Prison.

Forty-four people had died in the blasts, while 68 people had been injured.

Aneeq Shafeeq Sayeed and Ismail Chaudhary were the two men convicted, while Farooq Sharfuddin Tarkish and Mohd Sadiq Israr Shaik were the two men acquitted.

Judgement on Tarik Anjum will be passed on Monday.

Riyaz Bhatkal and Iqbal Bhatkal are absconding.

Police say all the men are Indian Mujahideen operatives.
