The relationship between Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain appears to have completely broken down as a source at the club has responded to the striker's recent allegations.

A day after being announced as a Real Madrid player, Mbappe opened up about his time at PSG and how he was 'violently' told off by certain people at the Parisian club.

The source condemned Mbappe's words as 'lamentable" and said the forward had "no class".

"Nasser Al Khelaifi [PSG owner] has never dictated the slightest decision to the team," the source was quoted as saying by AS (via Football Espana).

"Luis Enrique [PSG coach] even said it, but despite everything, Mbappe says something and everyone publishes it as if it were true," the source added.

What did Mbappe claim?

Speaking on the eve of France's friendly match against Luxembourg, Mbappe revealed how toxic the PSG dressing room had become for him as he contemplated a move to Madrid.

"They [the club] made me understand that I wouldn't play, they told me to my face, they told me violently," said Mbappe.

The 25-year-old revealed that if it wasn't for PSG coach Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos, he wouldn't have been 'saved'.

"Luis Enrique and Luis Campos saved me, I wouldn't have set foot on the pitch again without them. Just the fact I was playing was a great source of pride, but it's certain that next year I won't be satisfied with a year like that," said Mbappe.

The forward said although he wasn't 'unhappy' at the Parisian club, there were certain people that made him feel that way.

"At PSG I wasn't unhappy, that would be biting the hand that feeds you, and spitting in the face of all the people who defended me, but things and people made me unhappy," he added.

Despite the off-field drama, Mbappe finished the season as the highest-scoring player in Ligue 1 for the sixth consecutive time while helping PSG win the league trophy. He was also instrumental in the club reaching the semifinal of the UEFA Champions League.

The heroics with PSG notwithstanding, Mbappe joined Madrid after a lengthy transfer drama, earlier this week. He is expected to pocket $38 million a season in addition to the hefty 'undisclosed' signing bonus, according to reports in Spain.
