Nick and Priyanka tied the knot in India in December 2018. They hosted a grand function for their near and dear ones.
Nick Jonas is happy as a newlywed. Married to actress Priyanka Chopra, Nick in an interview sat down to reveal details of his relationship with her. Clearly, over the moon, he said, "Married life is incredible. Every day is a new experience and every day you wake up, or I wake up and pinch myself that I got so lucky."
Like most couples, Nick and Priyanka gel over food even though neither of them is good cooks. Nick said the food is their “main thing” and added, "We have been exploring a bit in sort of her culinary world. I'm dipping my toe into spicier things, which I wasn't always a fan of But now I'm suddenly a big fan of spicy food and I'm kind of showing her all of my favourite Italian dishes in a way, it's just a good balance."
While he is enjoying his married life and taking it one day at a time, he is also excited for the reunion of his band with brothers, Kevin and Joe. They dropped a single ‘Sucker’ that featured the brothers and their respective partners. It is a visual delight to see the couples having a good time while working.
‘Sucker’ is the band's first single in six years -- and, this time, the production was even more of a family affair.
Reflecting on the music video, Nick said, "Including our significant others in it, I think, it was the icing on the cake.” On their partners being a part of the video, Nick added, “They absolutely stole the show and they are the reason the song is a hit, basically. We are grateful to them for doing it, but it was really special to step into this new chapter with people we love, you know. The family keeps growing and it's beautiful to include everyone."
The brothers' last studio album was the 2009 ‘Lines, Vines and Trying Times.’ The new album, set for release sometime later this year, has yet to be titled, but Nick promised its sound would be a fusion of elements he has delivered as a solo artist and brother Joe has created with his group DNCE.
"I think 'Sucker' is a pretty good stepping-off point. I think that song does a really good job of combining Joe's sound with DNCE and my sound solo. And then the album as a whole, we worked with Ryan Tedder who came on as a bigger-picture role. He's had so many smash-hit songs, so we were thrilled because he kind of became our added Jonas brother. And then Greg Kurstin, who Adele, Beck, and the list goes on and he absolutely killed it."
Nick also promises to come out with a new documentary film for Amazon prime. He said, "We shot it over the course of a year and really opened up and ,actually, you're going to see in this story, the real-time, getting the band back together, which I think is going to be pretty interesting for fans and for people that aren't fans, because it's really a story about family more than anything else.”
Nick noted making the film was a "therapeutic" experience. Healing in a lot of ways," he added, "because that was actually how this all began. We were just doing the documentary and then after spending so much time together, we kind of felt like, 'Wow! We've done all this very necessary healing as a family, Why not give this another shot?'"
A premiere date for the documentary will be announced at a later date.
