'Saaho' day 3 box office collection: Prabhas starrer beats 'Kabir Singh', 'Bharat', 'Mission Mangal'

Touted to be the biggest film of the year, Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Saaho’ has set the box office on fire as it recorded the best Sunday of the year despite negative reviews. Even though the critics didn’t write rave reviews of the film, it has gone on to collect Rs 29.48 crore on Sunday taking the total collection to Rs 79 crore. Read our review here. 

‘Saaho’ has beaten Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Kabir Singh’ that collected Rs 27.91 crore in its third day collections. It also beat Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Mangal’ as it collected Rs 27.54 crore and Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’ that made Rs 27.90 crore. 

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to write, ”Saaho sets the BO on fire... Shows big gains on Day 3... Packs a phenomenal total in its opening weekend... North and East India are exceptional, other circuits fantastic too... Fri 24.40 cr, Sat 25.20 cr, Sun 29.48 cr. Total: Rs 79.08 cr Nett BOC. India biz. #Hindi version.”

‘Saaho’ has a lot of money riding on it as it was made at the cost of Rs 350 crore with a number of technicians and crew hired from the Hollywood industry to make the action sequences look real. 

According to a media report, in all languages combines, the film has collected Rs 88 crore nett and Rs 101 crore gross on the first day which makes it the second film after ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ to hit the Rs 100 crore gross mark on day one. 

Directed by Sujeeth, the film also stars Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay, Murali Sharma amongst others.
