Martin Mull, Funnyman and Arrested Development star, dies at 80

Hollywood actor and comedian Martin Mull is no more. Mull, who was best known for his work in TV
sitcoms Roseanne, Fernwood 2 Night,died at the age of 80.
The comic musician passed away on Thursday(June 27) at his home in Los Angeles after a ''valiant fight against a long illness,'' his daughter said in a statement.
Sharing the news on social media handles, his daughter wrote,''I am heartbroken to share that my father passed away at home on June 27th, after a valiant fight against a long illness.''
Remembering her father in the sweet tribute, Ms Mull said,''He was known for excelling at every creative discipline imaginable and also for doing Red Roof Inn commercials. He would find that joke funny. He was never not funny. My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians, and—the sign of a truly exceptional person—by many, many dogs. I loved him tremendously.”
Martin Mull's Career
Raised in Ohio and Connecticut, the veteran star rose tofame in 1970s when he played the role of Garth Gimble on the soap opera Mary Hartman. Following this, he went on to star in the soap opera's spinoff Fernwood Tonight. In the 1980-90s, he appeared in films like Mr Mom and Clue, Roseanne, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Arrested Development. Mull also had a recurring role on Two and a Half Men as Russell, a pharmacist.
