Filmmaker Krish's accusation against Kangana Ranaut for calling the shots on the sets of 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' has not gone down well with the actress' sister Rangoli Chandel.
Three days after the release of 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi', the film's director Krish accussedKangana of overruling several of his decisions and re-shooting portion without telling him. Defending her sister, Rangoli, in a scathing post on Twitter asked Krish to let Kangana 'enjoy this moment of success'.
"@DirKrish chalo man liya you directed the whole film now please calm down, still Kangana is the leading face of the film let her enjoy this moment of her success and great appreciation, please leave her alone, we all believe you now please take a seat" Rangoli wrote.
Rangoli Chandel is also Kangana's manager and has time and again defended the actress whenever she has courted controversy.
In an interview with a website, Krish addressed the controversy for the first time and said in a chilling statement, “I don’t know how Kangana can sleep well by taking the first credit in direction when she does not deserve it.”
"I think Kangana has done 20-25 percent of the first half. I didn’t shoot a song and I didn’t shoot her entry scene. In the second half, she has even re-shot some scenes which I had done in a different way. But it’s okay now. The film is looking brilliant. I am happy that she didn’t spoil it much," the director added.
Meanwhile, the film has been doing steady business at the box office and has earned Rs 42.55 crores in its first weekend.
Based on Rani Laxmibai's life, the film also features Jisshu Sengupta, Suresh Oberoi and Ankita Lokhande in key roles.
