Bollywood actor Imran Khan has been very vocal about his mental health struggles, battling tough phases in his career and life.
After a few years of hiatus, Khan is set to make a comeback on the big screen. The actor recently shared how his divorce from ex-wife Avantika Malik took a toll on his mental health.
In his recent interview with Humans of Bombay, the actor discussed his depression symptoms, addingthat after his divorce, he was the weakest—emotionally and physically.

“When I separated in 2019, I was at my weakest—emotionally and physically. I’d say, I would describe it as a husk of a human being. Brushing my teeth and taking a shower was a monumental ask. I didn’t know if I could do that. I couldn’t even get myself out of bed, I would stay in my pajamas, turn the doorbell off, lock the door and just vegetate,” he told the social media platform.
“I did have parental duties, we split custody so Thursdays to Sundays, my daughter would be with me. So on the days that she is with me, it doesn’t matter how weak I feel, whatever it is, you have to get out there,” he added.
Imran and Avantika tied the knot in 2011, and got divorced in 2019. The former couple shares a daughter named Imara.

Khan is all set to make a comeback after a decade of break from big screen. He was last seen in Katti Batti in 2015.
He has worked in movies like Break Ke Baad, Delhi Belly, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, I Hate Luv Storys, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola among others.
