Kit Harington aka Jon Snow has a lot to say on how Game of Thrones ended. The HBO show has gained cult status and is one of the most streamed shows. The HBO show with its enormous popularity both while it aired and now after the show aired its finale, continues to enjoy space on the internet. For better or for worse, Game of Thrones has always engaged audiences on the internet, especially because of its shoddy ending.

The ending looked hurried and poorly carried out, considering such large budgets were involved and there was good enough literature available to refer to. 

Kit Harington admits this about Game of Thrones ending

Speaking on the backlash that the Game of Thrones ending received from its ardent fans, Kit Harington admitted that the makers made some mistakes. In an interview with British GQ, he said that he understood why most think it was “rushed”.

Kit who played Jon Snow, a central character, said, “I think if there was any fault with the end of Thrones, is that we were all so f**king tired, we couldn't have gone on longer. And so I understand some people thought it was rushed and I might agree with them. But I’m not sure there was any alternative. I look at pictures of me in that final season and I look exhausted. I look spent. I didn't have another season in me.”

He also addressed the largely negative reactions from fans of the show and said, "Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think there were mistakes made, story-wise, towards the end maybe. I think there were some interesting choices that didn’t quite work.”

Other Game of Thrones spinoff in making

Even though Game of Thrones has wrapped up, makers involved with the same are now developing several spinoffs. There is one that is already through its second season – House of the Dragon. House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. Season 2 ended this month. The show will return with season 3 in 2026.
