Sydney Sweeney, known for her roles in Euphoria and Immaculate, recently thanked her mother, Lisa Sweeney, for supporting her acting career, and paid off her mortgage. In a recent interview with WhoWhatWear, the 26-year-old actress credited her parents' unwavering support for her success.

Sweeney shared how her parents' faith in her talent and career aspirations played a crucial role in her journey. "I always dreamt of being able to take care of my parents," she said. "I recently paid off my mom's mortgage, and it was a really big thing for me to be able to do."

Sweeney emphasised the importance of family in keeping her grounded amidst the chaos of Hollywood. Despite her busy schedule, she makes an effort to stay connected with her family, often visiting her hometown of Spokane, Washington, to spend time with them.

"I try to incorporate them into my life as much as possible, whether it's talking with my cousins every other day or going home," said Sweeney.

Her parents, Lisa and Steven Sweeney, who now live separately in Spokane and a remote ranch in Mexico, respectively, divorced as Sydney's career took off.

On the work front, Sweeney will be next seen in Echo Valley. Directed by Michael Pearce, the film also stars Julianne Moore and Domhnall Gleeson in lead roles.

The actress will also feature in Eden, directed by Ron Howard and written by Noah Pink. It also stars Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Jude Law, Daniel Brühl, Felix Kammerer, Toby Wallace and Richard Roxburgh.
