The Internet went berzerk earlier this week when they spotted Indian actor Ali Fazal in Blake Lively and Hugh Jackman's Vogue photoshoot. In no time, the pictures went viral in India and fans started speculating whether it was an easter egg by Baz Luhrmann for his upcoming project.
To put a rest to all the speculations and rumours, Ali Fazal took to his Instagram handle on Friday morning and revealed how and why he "royalty crashed Baz Luhrmann’s Hitchcockian Whodunnit Casino scene".
The actor revealed that he was shooting for a secret project in LA when he got a call from Anna Wintour for the photoshoot. Without giving it a second thought, he decided to get on a plane and be part of the photoshoot. In the caption, the actor also revealed that he always dreamt of working withBaz Luhrmann and the photoshoot made it come true.
"Ok let me put it to rest - yes that is me all secretly dressed up royalty crashing Baz Luhrmann’s Hitchcockian Whodunnit Casino scene. Hehe. And for the rest of this beautiful ensemble piece- WHAT CAN I SAY Anything for Baz @bazluhrmann. I was filming a project in LA when I got the call. And I have truly been blessed that this was the 3rd time Anna Wintour who I can never thank enough, has had me out and about for my American Vogue outing," wrote Ali.
"So, we jump on a plane and we play. It was one shot, and the best part about Baz comin in was he shot the whole thing like scenes so, there’s my dreams of workin with him coming true. Well, not fully - what? Almost.. what???. Thank you @voguemagazine and team for being ever so kind," Ali added.
While concluding his post, he praised Blake by calling her a rockstar and revealed that he was wearing a Sabyasachi creation for the viral photoshoot.

On the work front, Ali will be next seen inMetro... In Dino, Lahore 1947 and Tamil film Thug Life. The actor was last seen in Khufiya, which released on Netflix in October 2023.
