Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli says that the team now got to focus on next match after winning a thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday (May 18). The win, RCB's sixth on the trot, took them to the playoffs while CSK were ousted.
"God’s got a plan, you just have to be honest about what you are doing, and I think we were pretty honest with our hard work, and we got the rewards," Kohli said in a video posted by his team RCB. "I don’t want to say anything more than this. Got to focus on the next one," he added further.

RCB had to win by a margin of 18 runs or more after winning the toss and electing to bat first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB fans had their heart in mouth when rain arrived shortly after the start of match but it receded quickly and the match was eventually completed without any loss of overs.
Needing 17 runs to qualify in the last over, RCB's Yash Dayal was hit for a six on the first ball of the over by MS Dhoni but gave just one run in the next five balls, taking his team home. The over was somewhat redemption for Dayal who had given five sixes on last five balls of the match last year against KKR's Rinku Singh.
With the win, RCB, Delhi Capitals and CSK all finished with 14 points but RCB went ahead in the playoffs on the basis of a better net run rate. Kohli played an important role for them with the bat, scoring 708 runs in 14 league games - the most for any player.
RCB will now play against the third placed team in the first eliminator on May 22 in Ahmedabad.
