&ldquo;It&rsquo;s an incredible story, but it&rsquo;s all true,&rdquo; Jean-David&rsquo;s lawyer, Pierre Debuisson, told The Associated Press.
<h2>How did the theft happen?</h2>
The theft happened earlier this month when Jean-David&rsquo;s backpack was stolen from his car in the southern city of Toulouse. According to the lawyer, it included his bank cards and other documents. While he asked the bank to block the card, he found out that it had already been used in a local shop.

While Jean-David has filed a police complaint about the theft, he is ready to withdraw if the men come forward and share the winning money with him.

According to a copy of the email provided to AFP, federal workers were asked to submit "approx. 5 bullets of what you accomplished last week."&nbsp;

The OPM did not immediately reply to AFP's request for comment on Saturday evening.
The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE), the largest federal employee union, vowed to challenge any unlawful terminations in a statement from national president Everett Kelley.&nbsp;

Several federal employees told AFP they were advised by their agencies not to respond to the email and wait for further instruction, a recommendation echoed by the National Treasury Employees Union.

In their seventh scheduled prisoner-hostage swap, Hamas released six Israeli captives on Saturday while Israel delayed releasing Palestinian prisoners. The Palestinian militant group called the move a "blatant violation" of the truce deal.
Israel was expected to release more than 600 Palestinian prisoners.
"In light of Hamas' repeated violations, including the disgraceful ceremonies that dishonour our hostages and the cynical use of hostages for propaganda, it has been decided to delay the release of terrorists that was planned for yesterday (Saturday) until the release of the next hostages is ensured, without the humiliating ceremonies," Netanyahu's office said in a statement on Sunday.

From Washington, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that Hamas would be "destroyed" if it did not release all the remaining hostages.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club advocacy group had said Israel would free 620 inmates on Saturday, most of them Gazans taken into custody during the war.
Before Netanyahu's announcement, Hamas spokesperson Abdel Latif al-Qanou said Israel's "failure to comply with the release... at the agreed-upon time constitutes a blatant violation of the agreement".
Qanou called on the truce mediators to pressure Israel to "implement its provisions without delay or obstruction".
The delayed release comes after an emotional few days in Israel, where the remains of hostage Shiri Bibas were identified after the initial handover of a different body.
Netanyahu has said Hamas will pay "the full price" for what he termed a violation of the truce deal over Bibas's return.
Bibas and her two young sons, among dozens taken captive during Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that triggered the war, had become&nbsp;symbols of the ordeal suffered by the Israeli hostages.
Forensics expert Chen Kugel said an autopsy conducted on their remains found "no evidence of injuries caused by a bombing".
Hamas militants had claimed that all three were killed in an Israeli air strike.

<h2>'Coming back home'</h2>
The six Israelis released Saturday were the last group of living hostages set to be freed under the truce's first phase.
The deal, which has so far enabled the release of 30 captives, is due to expire in early March.
Negotiations for a second phase, which is meant to lead to a permanent end to the war, have yet to begin.
At a ceremony in Nuseirat, central Gaza,&nbsp;Eliya Cohen, 27, Omer Shem Tov, 22, and Israeli-Argentine Omer Wenkert, 23, waved from a stage, flanked by masked Hamas militants, before their handover to the Red Cross.
"I saw the look on his face, he's calm, he knows he's coming back home... He's a real hero," said Wenkert's friend Rory Grosz.
Under the cold winter rain in Rafah, southern Gaza, militants handed over Tal Shoham, 40, and Avera Mengistu, 38, who both appeared dazed.
A sixth hostage, Hisham al-Sayed, 37, was later released in private and taken back to Israeli territory, the military said.
Sayed, a Bedouin Muslim, and Mengistu, an Ethiopian Jew, had been held in Gaza for about a decade after they entered the territory individually.
Sayed's family called it "a long-awaited moment".

<h2>'Mix-up'&nbsp;</h2>
On Thursday, the first transfer of dead hostages under the truce sparked anger in Israel after analysis concluded&nbsp;that Shiri Bibas's remains were not among the four bodies returned.
Hamas admitted a possible "mix-up of bodies", and late Friday handed over more human remains which the Bibas family said had been identified as Shiri's.
The family said in a statement she "was murdered in captivity and has now returned home... to rest."
Israel's military said that, after an analysis of the remains, Palestinian militants had killed the Bibas boys, Ariel and Kfir, "with their bare hands" in November 2023.
Hamas dismissed this account as "baseless lies".
Out of 251 people taken hostage during the October 2023 attack, 62 are still in Gaza including 35 the Israeli military says are dead.
The Hamas attack resulted in the deaths of 1,215 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally of Israeli official figures.
Israel's retaliatory campaign has killed at least 48,319 people in Gaza, the majority of them civilians, according to figures from the health ministry in the Hamas-run territory that the United Nations considers reliable.

The FSPRT watchlist compiles data from various authorities on individuals with the aim of preventing "terrorist" radicalisation. It was launched in 2015 following deadly attacks on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo's offices and on a Jewish supermarket.
One of the seriously wounded police officers sustained an injury to the carotid artery, and the other to the thorax, Heitz said.
Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau was expected to travel to the scene of the attack later Saturday.
Police established a security parameter after the attack that happened shortly before 4:00 pm (1500 GMT) during a demonstration.

The PNAT said it is investigating the attack for murder, and attempted murder "in connection with a terrorist enterprise".
Macron, who spoke during a visit to France's agriculture fair, said the "solidarity of the nation" was with the attack victim and his family.&nbsp;
Prime Minister Francois Bayrou said that "fanaticism has struck again, and we are in mourning".

CFIUS is a panel that weighs the national security implications of foreign investments in the United States.
"President Trump is keeping his promise to prevent foreign adversaries from taking advantage of the United States," the White House said.
Trump early this month imposed additional customs duties of 10 percent on all products imported from China, over the country's alleged role in the deadly fentanyl trade.

In September 2021, over a period of three days, the man who hails from Durham sent the young girl a series of obscene messages and images. He then travelled approximately 150 miles (241.4 kilometres) to the West Lothian area the same month, after arranging to meet the child.
He then took her to a wooded area and subjected the young child to violent sexual assault and rape. The 12-year-old victim managed to escape and went to the police. The rapist Phillipson was tracked down by authorities soon after.
During the trial, the monstrous man admitted to two charges of breaching bail conditions and was imprisoned for a minimum of seven years under the Order for Lifelong Restriction (OLR). "In the 'vanshavali' we have names of Kash Patel's father Pramod Patel and also his brothers and grandfather," said secretary of the organisation and Anand district BJP present Rajesh Patel.
Rajesh Patel told PTI that though Kash Patel's name was yet to be added to the family tree, entry of 18 generations of his family is there in the 'vanshavali' and it is stored in their office along with all members of their community.
"As per our records the family used to live in Moti Khadki area of Bhadran village and they migrated to Uganda some 70 to 80 years ago," he informed. "The family sold their ancestral house and land and all of his relatives are settled in foreign countries, especially in the USA. Now, when a family member of Kash comes back to India we will seek their permission to record their next generation's names, including his own name, in vanshavali," Rajesh Patel informed.
"We have not met Kash Patel as the family has not visited Anand in recent years. But many in our community know them as Patidar is a close-knit community," he said. Rajesh Patel said as far as he knows, the family had returned for a brief time to India after their expulsion from the African country in the 1970.
"Those Indians who were expelled from Uganda had come to India for a brief stay as they had applied for asylum in the UK, US or Canada. Kash Patel's family had also come here for a brief stopover and then moved to Canada once their applications were accepted," he said. From Canada, they shifted to the US, where Kash Patel was born in 1980, Rajesh Patel maintained. Indians who migrated to Uganda were expelled from the African country by dictator Idi Amin who seized power in a military coup in 1971. In 1972, he ordered the Indian community to leave his country in 90 days.
Chh Gam Patidar Mandal is an organization of the Patidar community from six villages/towns of Anand district -- Dharmaj, Nadiad, Sojitra, Bhadran, Vaso and Karamsad. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first home minister of the country, hailed from Karamsad. The new FBI chief served as the former Chief of Staff to Acting Secretary of Defence Christopher Miller.
He was responsible for leading the Secretary's mission at the Department, including his executive staff and providing counsel to him on all matters concerning its operations, the US Department of Defence's short biography on Kash Patel said.
A native of New York, Kash Patel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond before returning to New York to earn his law degree, along with a Certificate in International Law from University College London Faculty of Laws in the United Kingdom, it said. Kash Patel, a trained lawyer, is an ice-hockey fan and has been playing the sport since he was six, it said. "We are Gujarati,&rdquo; he had told PTI in an earlier interview in the United States.

"His diet was three dates a day. Dates may be quite healthy, but for Omer they can be fatal,&rdquo; his mother said.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Dates have dietary fiber and colitis sufferers cannot consume dietary fiber," she added.&nbsp;

&ldquo;He has a right to this choice, but it&rsquo;s not an informed choice. My frustration is we are in a world where he has to choose between being electrocuted, poisoned or shot, and we can&rsquo;t even get the most basic facts you would want to make that decision,&rdquo; King said.&nbsp;
Sigmon&rsquo;s attorneys raised concerns about South Carolina&rsquo;s lethal injection process, pointing out that the state has refused to provide details about the quality and reliability of its drugs. 'No minerals, no internet': US may cut Ukraine’s access to Musk's Starlink over rare earth deal

The Associated Press filed a lawsuit against three White House officials on Friday after the news agency was barred from some of US President Donald Trump's events.
The AP, in the suit filed in a federal court in Washington, said the denial of access violates the First Amendment of the US Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech and of the press.
The White House began blocking AP journalists from the Oval Office 10 days ago over the news agency's refusal to follow Trump's executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America."
The ban on AP reporters was later extended to Air Force One.
The news group said it was bringing the suit against three Trump administration officials to "vindicate its rights to the editorial independence guaranteed by the United States Constitution."
"The White House has ordered The Associated Press to use certain words in its coverage or else face an indefinite denial of access," the AP said.
"The press and all people in the United States have the right to choose their own words and not be retaliated against by the government," it said.
"The Constitution does not allow the government to control speech. Allowing such government control and retaliation to stand is a threat to every American's freedom."
The suit names as defendants White House chief of staff Susan Wiles and deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich, as well as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
"We'll see them in court," Leavitt said during an appearance Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.&nbsp;
"We feel we are in the right. We are going to ensure that truth and accuracy is present at that White House every single day," she said.
In its style guide, the AP noted that the Gulf of Mexico has "carried that name for more than 400 years."
"The Associated Press will refer to it by its original name while acknowledging the new name Trump has chosen," it said.
"As a global news agency that disseminates news around the world, the AP must ensure that place names and geography are easily recognizable to all audiences."
