It said that on Wednesday, Ukraine also fired a drone at a gas storage facility in Crimea.
"Despite the Kyiv regime's statements about the alleged cessation of strikes on Russian energy facilities, over the past 24 hours the Ukrainian Armed Forces have continued to strike energy infrastructure," the ministry said.&nbsp;
Washington said that on Tuesday both Moscow and Kyiv separately agreed to "develop measures for implementing" a halt on strikes on energy infrastructure.
The Ukrainian official told news agency AFP that last week, Moscow hit Ukraine's energy facilities after Russian President Vladimir Putin originally agreed to a 30-day halt on such strikes in a phone call with Donald Trump.&nbsp;

The previous record was 24,000 hectares (59,000 acres) in a March 2000 fire.
The blaze of wildland fires began igniting on March 21 and smoke from some of the larger fires was visible in space, with image acquired by the MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) on NASA's Aqua satellite on March 22. The fires have also cut off roads and downed communications lines. Historic temples were also incinerated.

Sea lions living off the coast of California have been acting strangely for some time. Some of them are displaying aggressive behaviour, while others appear lethargic. Marine researchers suspect that this is the impact of a toxic algae bloom in the area. The algae is believed to be releasing domoic acid, a neurotoxin which is entering the sea lions' bodies through the fish they consume.
The toxins released by the algae can kill not only fish but also other mammals and birds. They can also prove harmful to humans, causing serious illness or death, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
According to the Marine Mammal Care Center, domoic acid can cause amnesic shellfish poisoning in humans and marine mammals. Jeni Smith, rescue supervisor at SeaWorld San Diego, told ABC San Diego affiliate KGTV that the sea lions appeared to be behaving in a strange manner.

The European Commission on Wednesday issued an advisory to the people in the European Union, asking them to stockpile enough food, water and other essentials for 72 hours. It said that the advisory is part of a European strategy that aims to prepare people to be ready for catastrophic floods and fires, pandemics and military attacks.&nbsp;
The press release, titled "EU Preparedness Union Strategy to prevent and react to emerging threats and crises", published on March 26, noted the Commission and High Representative has launched the Preparedness Union Strategy to support Member States and enhance Europe's capability to prevent and respond to emerging threats.&nbsp;

It stated that the EU needs to be ready to protect its citizens and the key societal functions that are crucial for democracy and daily life as the bloc is facing increasingly complex crises and challenges, such as growing geopolitical tensions and conflicts, hybrid and cybersecurity threats, foreign information manipulation and interference, and climate change.&nbsp;
The European Commission said that these threats cannot be ignored.&nbsp;
As quoted in the presser, President Ursula von der Leyen said, "New realities require a new level of preparedness in Europe. Our citizens, our Member States, and our businesses need the right tools to act both to prevent crises and to react swiftly when a disaster hits."&nbsp;
"Families living in flood zones should know what to do when the waters rise. Early warning systems can prevent regions hit by wildfires from losing precious time. Europe stands ready to support Member States and trusted partners in the neighbourhood to save lives and livelihoods," she added.&nbsp;

The current strategy includes 30 key actions and a detailed Action Plan to advance the Preparedness Union's objectives, as well as developing a 'preparedness by design culture' across all EU policies.&nbsp;
When it comes to protecting Europe's essential societal functions, the Commission said people need to develop minimum preparedness criteria for essential services such as hospitals, schools, transport and telecommunications. Also, enhancing the stockpiling of critical equipment and materials, and enhancing climate adaptation and availability of critical natural resources such as water.&nbsp;

"Preparedness must be woven into the fabric of our societies &mdash; everyone has a role to play. Today&rsquo;s threats are fast, complex, and interconnected; our response must be more proactive, more integrated, and more coordinated at European level," Hadja Lahbib, Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management said as quoted.&nbsp;

The publication cited sources with direct knowledge of the incident. Stern has alleged that while the two of them were having sex on March 11, Tate started choking her. She told him to stop when it became unbearable and rougher. However, she stated that Tate did not listen to her.
TMZ reported that while Stern pleaded to stop, Tate continued and became more violent. He only stopped when the sex was over. Stern went to the bathroom after he fell asleep and took photos of her injuries. TMZ is said to be in possession of photos showing bruises on the side of her face.

The researchers now hope that gene-edited pigs can be helpful for those who need the organ urgently but are on long waiting lists.&nbsp;
A team of doctors led by Kai-Shan Tao, Zhao-Xu Yang, Xuan Zhang and Hong-Tao Zhang of the Fourth Military Medical University in China said that the liver performed its basic metabolic functions in a patient diagnosed with brain death for 10 days.&nbsp;

Pig organs were used by several living patients in the United States who had received pig kidneys or hearts in the last few years. But not liver. The liver functions are trickier and more complex than those of the kidney. Hence, the transplantation is difficult.&nbsp;
