The beauty industry is raving about lip fillers. This cosmetic procedure can give you fuller, plumper lips. But it can also have negative effects.

It is common to experience swelling and bruising at the injection site after receiving lip fillers. While these effects may be painful, they are typically temporary.

Some individuals may observe redness and tenderness around the lips, which usually diminish within a few days following the procedure.

Occasionally, the filler may create small lumps or bumps under the skin leaving the skin uneven. Massaging, or in more severe cases, correction by the provider can address this issue

Allergic reactions to the filler material can occur, leading to symptoms such as itching, rash, or swelling. Immediate medical attention is necessary in such cases.

Achieving perfect symmetry can be challenging, and some degree of asymmetry may occur. Skilled practitioners aim to minimise this, but individual responses vary.

In some cases, the injected area may experience temporary discolouration. This can involve a bluish tint, but it typically resolves over time as the filler settles.

Why Vitamin K is Essential in the Body

High levels of vitamin K are commonly found in green leafy vegetables such as kale, collard greens, broccoli, spinach, cabbage and lettuce. Here are the reasons why vitamin K is needed in human body.

Vitamin K plays a crucial role in preventing excessive bleeding after an injury and maintaining optimal blood thickness, reducing the risk of blood clots.

Collaborating with calcium and vitamin D, vitamin K contributes to the development of robust bones, leading to a lower likelihood of fractures and a decreased risk of osteoporosis.

Vitamin K aids in eliminating calcium deposits from blood vessels, reducing the chances of arterial calcification. This, in turn, lowers the risk of conditions like high blood pressure and kidney disease.

By averting mineralisation in the arteries, vitamin K may contribute to maintaining lower blood pressure, facilitating the unobstructed flow of blood throughout the body for optimal heart health.
