The Election Commission (EC) of India has announced the schedule for the assembly polls in five states. The elections will be held in November 2023 in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram.
Elections in the central state of Madhya Pradesh will take place on November 17 in a single phase for 230 constituencies.
The Rajasthan assembly election will be held in a single phase. All 200 seats will go to polls on November 23.
Chhattisgarh elections will be held in two phases– on Nov 7 and Nov 17. While a of total 90 seats will go to polls on November 7th, the remaining seats will vote on November 17th.
The elections will begin on November 7 in Mizoram. The state has 40 assembly constituencies.
Telangana's assembly election will be held in a single phase. All 119 seats will go to polls on November 30.
Counting of votes in all five states will be held on December 3.
