Saima Wazed, daughter of ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former WHO Southeast Asia Regional Director, has been placed on indefinite leave and suspended by the World Health Organization. The move follows renewed corruption charges filed by Bangladesh’s Anti-Corruption Commission.
