Right-wing influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj was detained by Delhi Police in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, over the alleged assault of Sanjay Kumar, the father of student activist Nishu Azad, during a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. His detention came after a podcast clip went viral in which he appeared to boast about the attack.
