Iran has warned of “dangerous consequences” after the United States moved to enforce a naval blockade targeting ships entering or leaving Iranian ports, escalating tensions in the Persian Gulf. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Washington’s actions around the strategic Strait of Hormuz could further destabilise the region and complicate diplomacy.
