The United Kingdom’s Defence Secretary John Healey has suggested that Russia - and by implication President Vladimir Putin - may be playing a “hidden hand” role in Iran’s military tactics, particularly in its use of drones and combat methods across the Middle East. Healey cited briefings that indicate Iranian forces and their proxies are using combat techniques similar to Russian methods, raising concerns about increased coordination between Tehran and Moscow amid the ongoing US‑Iran conflict.
