UN Report Describes Incidents of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence

A new United Nations report reveals that verified cases of conflict-related sexual violence more than doubled in 2025, with 9,788 incidents documented globally. For the first time, the Israeli and Russian armed forces were added to the UN’s "blacklist" of parties suspected of committing such acts. The report highlights the use of sexual violence—including rape, gang rape, and sexual slavery—as a systematic tactic of war, torture, and political repression across 21 countries.
