The United Nations has issued a stark warning about China's dramatic population decline, predicting it could lose more than half its population by the end of this century. In 2023, China recorded only 9.02 million births, the lowest number since records began in 1949. This sharp decline in births is a significant indicator of the country's demographic challenges.
