Hours after Ukraine, for the first time, fired British Storm Shadow missiles into Russian territory, the United Kingdom government announced defense cuts worth $500 million. Defense Secretary John Healey, in UK Parliament, said that his government will scrap six major programs across the Armed Forces, decommissioning ships, drones, and helicopters ahead of their schedule as part of cost-saving measures.
