Tik Tok: China has officially approved the transfer agreement for TikTok, the popular short video app owned by China-based ByteDance, according to U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. This approval follows intense negotiations between the U.S. and China and comes after President Trump’s order in September that allows TikTok’s sale to a consortium of U.S. and global investors.
