The U.S. has announced a 35 percent tariff on all Bangladeshi export goods starting next month, sending shockwaves through the country’s 40-billion dollar ready-made garment industry. The move comes in a letter from President Donald Trump to Bangladesh’s chief adviser, citing trade imbalances and calling for a reset in bilateral terms.
